Read Luke 12
1 O si ṣe, nigbati ainiye ijọ enia pejọ pọ̀, tobẹ̃ ti nwọn ntẹ̀ ara wọn mọlẹ, o tètekọ́ wi fun awọn ọmọ-ẹhin rẹ̀ pe, Ẹ mã ṣọra nyin nitori iwukara awọn Farisi, ti iṣe agabagebe.
1 In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
2 Kò si ohun ti a bò, ti a kì yio si fihàn; tabi ti o pamọ, ti a ki yio mọ̀.
2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
3 Nitorina ohunkohun ti ẹnyin sọ li òkunkun, ni gbangba li a o gbé gbọ́; ati ohun ti ẹnyin ba sọ si etí ni ìkọkọ, lori orule li a o gbé kede rẹ̀.
3 Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
4 Emi si wi fun nyin ẹnyin ọrẹ́ mi, Ẹ máṣe bẹ̀ru awọn ti ipa ara enia kú, lẹhin eyini ti nwọn kò si li eyiti nwọn le ṣe mọ́.
4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
5 Ṣugbọn emi o si sọ ẹniti ẹnyin o bẹ̀ru fun nyin: Ẹ bẹru ẹniti o lagbara lẹhin ti o ba pani tan, lati wọ́ni lọ si ọrun apadi; lõtọ ni mo wi fun nyin, On ni ki ẹ bẹru.
5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
6 Ologoṣẹ marun ki a ntà li owo idẹ wẹ́wẹ meji? a kò si gbagbé ọkan ninu wọn niwaju Ọlọrun?
6 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?
7 Ṣugbọn gbogbo irun ori nyin li a kà pé ṣanṣan. Nitorina ki ẹ máṣe bẹ̀ru: ẹnyin ni iye lori jù ologoṣẹ pipọ lọ.
7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.
8 Mo si wi fun nyin pẹlu, Ẹnikẹni ti o ba jẹwọ mi niwaju enia, Ọmọ-ẹnia yio si jẹwọ rẹ̀ niwaju awọn angẹli Ọlọrun:
8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:
9 Ṣugbọn ẹniti o ba sẹ́ mi niwaju enia, a o sẹ́ ẹ niwaju awọn angẹli Ọlọrun.
9 But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.
10 Ati ẹnikẹni ti o ba sọ̀rọ-òdi si Ọmọ-enia, a o dari rẹ̀ jì i: ṣugbọn ẹnikẹni ti o ba sọrọ-odi si Ẹmí Mimọ́, a kì yio dari rẹ̀ jì i.
10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.
11 Nigbati nwọn ba si mu nyin wá si sinagogu, ati siwaju awọn olori, ati awọn alaṣẹ, ẹ máṣe ṣàniyàn pe, bawo tabi ohùn kili ẹnyin ó da, tabi kili ẹnyin o wi:
11 And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:
12 Nitori Ẹmí Mimọ́ yio kọ́ nyin ni wakati kanna li ohun ti o yẹ ki ẹ wi.
12 For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.
13 Ọkan ninu awujọ si wi fun u pe, Olukọni, sọ fun arakunrin mi ki o pín mi li ogún.
13 And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me.
14 O si wi fun u pe, ọkunrin yi, tali o fi mi jẹ onidajọ tabi olùpín-ogún wá fun nyin?
14 And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?
15 O si wi fun wọn pe, Kiyesara ki ẹ si mã ṣọra nitori ojukòkoro: nitori igbesi aiye enia ki iduro nipa ọ̀pọ ohun ti o ni.
15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
16 O si pa owe kan fun wọn, wipe, Ilẹ ọkunrin kan ọlọrọ̀ so eso ọ̀pọlọpọ:
16 And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:
17 O si rò ninu ara rẹ̀, wipe, Emi o ti ṣe, nitoriti emi kò ni ibiti emi o gbé kó eso mi jọ si?
17 And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?
18 O si wipe, Eyi li emi o ṣe: emi o wó aká mi palẹ, emi o si kọ́ eyi ti o tobi; nibẹ̀ li emi o gbé tò gbogbo eso ati ọrọ̀ mi jọ si.
18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
19 Emi o si wi fun ọkàn mi pe, Ọkàn, iwọ li ọrọ̀ pipọ ti a tò jọ fun ọ̀pọ ọdún; simi mã jẹ, mã mu, mã yọ̀.
19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
20 Ṣugbọn Ọlọrun wi fun u pe, Iwọ aṣiwere, li oru yi li a o bère ẹmi rẹ lọwọ rẹ: njẹ titani nkan wọnni yio ha ṣe, ti iwọ ti pèse silẹ?
20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
21 Bẹ̃ li ẹniti o tò iṣura jọ fun ara rẹ̀, ti ko si li ọrọ̀ lọdọ Ọlọrun.
21 So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.
23 Ẹmí sa jù onjẹ lọ, ara si jù aṣọ lọ.
23 The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.
24 Ẹ kiyesi awọn ìwo: nwọn kì ifọnrugbin, bẹ̃ni nwọn ki kore; nwọn kò li aká, bẹ̃ni nwọn kò li abà; Ọlọrun sá mbọ́ wọn: melomelo li ẹnyin sàn jù ẹiyẹ lọ?
24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
25 Tani ninu nyin nipa aniyan ṣiṣe ti o le fi igbọnwọ kan kún ọjọ aiyé rẹ̀?
25 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?
26 Njẹ bi ẹnyin kò le ṣe eyi ti o kere julọ, ẽṣe ti ẹnyin fi nṣaniyan nitori iyokù?
26 If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?
27 Ẹ kiyesi awọn lili bi nwọn ti ndàgba: nwọn ki iṣiṣẹ nwọn ki iranwu; ṣugbọn ki emi wi fun nyin, a kò ṣe Solomoni pãpã li ọṣọ́ ni gbogbo ogo rẹ̀ to ọkan ninu wọnyi.
27 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
28 Njẹ bi Ọlọrun ba wọ̀ koriko igbẹ́ li aṣọ tobẹ̃ eyiti o wà loni, ti a si gbá a sinu ina lọla; melomelo ni yio wọ̀ nyin li aṣọ, ẹnyin onigbagbọ́ kekere?
28 If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?
29 Ẹ má si ṣe bere ohun ti ẹnyin ó jẹ, tabi ohun ti ẹnyin o mu, ki ẹnyin ki o má si ṣiyemeji.
29 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
30 Nitori gbogbo nkan wọnyi ni awọn orilẹ-ède aiye nwá kiri: Baba nyin si mọ̀ pe, ẹnyin nfẹ nkan wọnyi.
30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
31 Ṣugbọn ẹ mã wá ijọba Ọlọrun; gbogbo nkan wọnyi li a o si fi kún nyin.
31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
32 Má bẹ̀ru, agbo kekere; nitori didùn inu Baba nyin ni lati fi ijọba fun nyin.
32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
33 Ẹ tà ohun ti ẹnyin ni, ki ẹnyin ki o si tọrẹ ãnu; ki ẹnyin ki o si pèse àpo fun ara nyin, ti kì igbó, iṣura li ọrun ti kì itán, nibiti olè kò le sunmọ, ati ibiti kòkoro kì iba a jẹ.
33 Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.
34 Nitori nibiti iṣura nyin gbé wà, nibẹ̀ li ọkàn nyin yio gbé wà pẹlu.
34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
35 Ẹ di amure nyin, ki fitila nyin ki o si mã jo:
35 Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;
36 And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.
37 Ibukun ni fun awọn ọmọ-ọdọ wọnni nigbati oluwa na ba de ti yio ba ki nwọn ki o ma ṣọna: lõtọ ni mo wi fun nyin, yio di ara rẹ̀ li amure, yio si mu wọn joko lati jẹun, yio si jade wá lati ṣe iranṣẹ fun wọn.
37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.
38 Bi o ba si de nigba iṣọ keji, tabi ti o si de nigba iṣọ kẹta, ti o si ba wọn bẹ̃, ibukun ni fun awọn ọmọ-ọdọ wọnni.
38 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.
39 Ṣugbọn ẹ mọ̀ eyi pe, bãle ile iba mọ̀ wakati ti olè yio wá, on iba ma ṣọna, kì ba ti jẹ ki a lu ile on já.
39 And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.
40 Nitorina ki ẹnyin ki o mura pẹlu: Nitori Ọmọ-enia mbọ̀ ni wakati ti ẹnyin kò daba.
40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
41 Peteru si wipe, Oluwa, iwọ pa owe yi fun wa, tabi fun gbogbo enia?
41 Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all?
42 Oluwa si dahùn wipe, Tani olõtọ ati ọlọ́gbọn iriju na, ti oluwa rẹ̀ fi jẹ olori agbo ile rẹ̀, lati ma fi ìwọn onjẹ wọn fun wọn li akokò?
42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?
43 Ibukun ni fun ọmọ-ọdọ na, nigbati oluwa rẹ̀ ba de, ti yio ba a ki o ma ṣe bẹ̃.
43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
44 Lõtọ ni mo wi fun nyin, yio si fi i jẹ olori ohun gbogbo ti o ni.
44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.
45 Ṣugbọn bi ọmọ-ọdọ na ba wi li ọkàn rẹ̀ pe, Oluwa mi yẹ̀ igba atibọ̀ rẹ̀; ti o si bẹ̀rẹ si ilù awọn iranṣẹkunrin ati iranṣẹbinrin, ti o si bẹ̀rẹ si ijẹ ati si imu amupara;
45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;
46 Oluwa ọmọ-ọdọ na yio de li ọjọ ti kò reti rẹ̀, ati ni wakati ti kò daba, yio si jẹ ẹ niya gidigidi, yio si yàn ipò rẹ̀ pẹlu awọn alaigbagbọ́.
46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
47 Ati ọmọ-ọdọ na, ti o mọ̀ ifẹ oluwa rẹ̀, ti kò si mura silẹ ti kò si ṣe gẹgẹ bi ifẹ rẹ̀, on li a o nà pipọ.
47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
48 Ṣugbọn eyi ti kò mọ̀, ti o ṣe ohun ti o yẹ si lilu, on li a o lù niwọn. Nitori ẹnikẹni ti a fun ni pipọ, lọdọ rẹ̀ li a o gbé bère pipọ: lọdọ ẹniti a ba gbé fi pipọ si, lọdọ rẹ̀ li a o gbé bère si i.
48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
49 Iná li emi wá lati fọ̀n si aiye; kili emi si nfẹ bi a ba ti da a ná?
49 I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I if it be already kindled?
50 Ṣugbọn emi ni baptismu kan ti a o fi baptisi mi; ara ti nni mi to titi yio fi pari!
50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!
51 Ẹnyin ṣebi alafia li emi wá fi si aiye? mo wi fun nyin, Bẹ̃kọ; ki a sá kuku pe iyapa:
51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
52 Nitori lati isisiyi lọ, enia marun yio wà ni ile kanna ti a o yà ni ipa, mẹta si meji, ati meji si mẹta.
52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
54 O si wi fun ijọ enia pẹlu pe, Nigbati ẹnyin ba ri awọsanma ti o ṣú ni ìha ìwọ-õrùn, ọgan ẹnyin a ni, Ọwara òjo mbọ̀; a si ri bẹ̃.
54 And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.
55 Nigbati afẹfẹ gusù ba nfẹ, ẹnyin a ni, Õru yio mu; a si ṣẹ.
55 And when ye see the south wind blow, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass.
56 Ẹnyin agabagebe, ẹnyin le moye oju ọrun ati ti aiye; ẽhatiṣe ti ẹnyin kò le mọ̀ akokò yi?
56 Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?
57 Ẽha si ti ṣe ti ẹnyin tikara nyin ko fi rò ohun ti o tọ́?
57 Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?
58 Nigbati iwọ ba mbá ọtá rẹ lọ sọdọ olóri, mura li ọ̀na ki a le gbà ọ lọwọ rẹ̀; ki o máṣe fi ọ le onidajọ lọwọ, ki onidajọ máṣe fi ọ le ẹṣọ lọwọ, on a si tì ọ sinu tubu.
58 When thou goest with thine adversary to the magistrate, as thou art in the way, give diligence that thou mayest be delivered from him; lest he hale thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and the officer cast thee into prison.
59 Ki emi ki o wi fun ọ, iwọ ki yio jade kuro nibẹ̀, titi iwọ o fi san õkan ti o ba kù.
59 I tell thee, thou shalt not depart thence, till thou hast paid the very last mite.
