4 Ki iwọ ki o le mọ̀ ọtitọ ohun wọnni, ti a ti kọ́ ọ.
4 That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.
5 Nigba ọjọ Herodu ọba Judea, alufa kan wà, ni ipa ti Abia, orukọ rẹ̀ a ma jẹ Sakariah: aya rẹ̀ si ṣe ọkan ninu awọn ọmọbinrin Aaroni, orukọ rẹ̀ a si ma jẹ Elisabeti.
5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.
6 Awọn mejeji si ṣe olododo niwaju Ọlọrun, nwọn nrìn ni gbogbo ofin on ìlana Oluwa li ailẹgan.

18 Sakariah si wi fun angẹli na pe, Àmi wo li emi o fi mọ̀ eyi? Emi sá di àgba, ati Elisabeti aya mi si di arugbo.
18 And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.
