¹ OLUWA si sọ fun Mose ati fun Aaroni, o wi fun wọn pe,

¹ And the LORD spake unto Moses and to Aaron, saying unto them,

² Sọ fun awọn ọmọ Israeli pe, Wọnyi li ẹranko ti ẹnyin o ma jẹ ninu gbogbo ẹran ti mbẹ lori ilẹ aiye.

² Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, These are the beasts which ye shall eat among all the beasts that are on the earth.

³ Ohunkohun ti o ba yà bàta-ẹsẹ̀, ti o si là li ẹsẹ̀, ti o si njẹ apọjẹ, ninu ẹran, on ni ki ẹnyin ki o ma jẹ.

³ Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is clovenfooted, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that shall ye eat.

⁴ Ṣugbọn wọnyi ni ki ẹ máṣe jẹ ninu awọn ti njẹ apọjẹ, tabi awọn ti o si yà bàta-ẹsẹ̀: bi ibakasiẹ, nitoriti o njẹ apọjẹ ṣugbọn kò yà bàta-ẹsẹ, alaimọ́ li o jasi fun nyin.

⁴ Nevertheless these shall ye not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the hoof: as the camel, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.

⁵ Ati gara, nitoriti o njẹ apọjẹ, ṣugbọn kò yà bàta-ẹsẹ̀, alaimọ́ li o jasi fun nyin.

⁵ And the coney, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.

⁶ Ati ehoro, nitoriti o njẹ apọjẹ, ṣugbọn kò yà bàta-ẹsẹ̀, alaimọ́ li o jasi fun nyin.

⁶ And the hare, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.

⁷ Ati ẹlẹdẹ̀, bi o ti yà bàta-ẹsẹ̀, ti o si là ẹsẹ̀, ṣugbọn on kò jẹ apọjẹ, alaimọ́ li o jasi fun nyin.

⁷ And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you.

⁸ Ninu ẹran wọn li ẹnyin kò gbọdọ jẹ, okú wọn li ẹnyin kò gbọdọ fọwọkàn; alaimọ́ ni nwọn jasi fun nyin.

⁸ Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you.

⁹ Wọnyi ni ki ẹnyin ki o ma jẹ ninu gbogbo ohun ti mbẹ ninu omi: ohunkohun ti o ba ní lẹbẹ ati ipẹ́, ninu omi, ninu okun, ati ninu odò, awọn ni ki ẹnyin ki o ma jẹ.

⁹ These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.

¹⁰ Ati gbogbo eyiti kò ní lẹbẹ ati ipẹ́ li okun, ati li odò, ninu gbogbo ohun ti nrá ninu omi, ati ninu ohun alãye kan ti mbẹ ninu omi, irira ni nwọn o jasi fun nyin,

¹⁰ And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:

¹¹ Ani irira ni nwọn o ma jẹ́ fun nyin: ẹnyin kò gbọdọ jẹ ninu ẹran wọn, okú wọn ni ẹ o sì kàsi irira.

¹¹ They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.

¹² Ohunkohun ti kò ba ní lẹbẹ ati ipẹ́, ninu omi, on ni ki ẹnyin kàsi irira fun.

¹² Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.

¹³ Wọnyi li ẹnyin o si ma kàsi irira ninu ẹiyẹ; awọn li a kò gbọdọ jẹ, irira ni nwọn iṣe: idì, ati aṣá-idì, ati idì-ẹja.

¹³ And these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,

¹⁴ Ati igún, ati aṣá li onirũru rẹ̀;

¹⁴ And the vulture, and the kite after his kind;

¹⁵ Ati gbogbo ìwo li onirũru rẹ̀;

¹⁵ Every raven after his kind;

¹⁶ Ati ogongo, ati owiwi, ati ẹlulu, ati awodi li onirũru rẹ̀,

¹⁶ And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,

¹⁷ Ati òyo ati ìgo, ati owiwi;

¹⁷ And the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl,

¹⁸ Ati ogbugbu, ati ofù, ati àkala;

¹⁸ And the swan, and the pelican, and the gier eagle,

¹⁹ Ati àkọ, ati ondẹ li onirũru rẹ̀, ati atọka, ati adán.

¹⁹ And the stork, the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.

²⁰ Gbogbo ohun ti nrakò, ti nfò ti o si nfi mẹrẹrin rìn ni ki ẹnyin kàsi irira fun nyin.

²⁰ All fowls that creep, going upon all four, shall be an abomination unto you.

²¹ Ṣugbọn wọnyi ni ki ẹnyin ki o ma jẹ ninu gbogbo ohun ti nfò, ti nrakò, ti nfi gbogbo mẹrẹrin rìn, ti o ní tete lori ẹsẹ̀ wọn, lati ma fi ta lori ilẹ;

²¹ Yet these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth;

²² Ani ninu wọnyi ni ki ẹnyin ma jẹ; eṣú ni irú rẹ̀, ati eṣú onihoho nipa irú rẹ̀, ati ọbọnbọn nipa irú rẹ̀, ati ẹlẹnga nipa irú rẹ̀.

²² Even these of them ye may eat; the locust after his kind, and the bald locust after his kind, and the beetle after his kind, and the grasshopper after his kind.

²³ Ṣugbọn gbogbo ohun iyokù ti nfò ti nrakò, ti o ní ẹsẹ̀ mẹrin, on ni ki ẹnyin kàsi irira fun nyin.

²³ But all other flying creeping things, which have four feet, shall be an abomination unto you.

²⁴ Nitori wọnyi li ẹnyin o si jẹ́ alaimọ́: ẹnikẹni ti o ba farakàn okú wọn ki o jẹ́ alaimọ́ titi di aṣalẹ:

²⁴ And for these ye shall be unclean: whosoever toucheth the carcase of them shall be unclean until the even.

²⁵ Ẹnikẹni ti o ba si rù ohun kan ninu okú wọn ki o fọ̀ aṣọ rẹ̀, ki o si jẹ́ alaimọ́ titi di aṣalẹ.

²⁵ And whosoever beareth ought of the carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even.

²⁶ Ẹranko gbogbo ti o yà bàta-ẹsẹ̀, ti kò si là ẹsẹ̀, tabi ti kò si jẹ apọjẹ, ki o jẹ́ alaimọ́ fun nyin: gbogbo ẹniti o ba farakàn wọn ki o jẹ́ alaimọ́.

²⁶ The carcases of every beast which divideth the hoof, and is not clovenfooted, nor cheweth the cud, are unclean unto you: every one that toucheth them shall be unclean.

²⁷ Ati ohunkohun ti o ba si nrìn lori ẽkanna rẹ̀, ninu gbogbo onirũru ẹranko, ti nfi ẹsẹ̀ mẹrẹrin rìn, alaimọ́ ni nwọn fun nyin: ẹnikẹni ti o ba farakàn okú wọn ki o jẹ́ alaimọ́ titi di aṣalẹ.

²⁷ And whatsoever goeth upon his paws, among all manner of beasts that go on all four, those are unclean unto you: whoso toucheth their carcase shall be unclean until the even.

²⁸ Ẹniti o ba si rù okú wọn ki o si fọ̀ aṣọ rẹ̀, ki o si jẹ́ alaimọ́ titi di aṣalẹ: alaimọ́ ni nwọn fun nyin.

²⁸ And he that beareth the carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: they are unclean unto you.

²⁹ Wọnyi ni yio si jasi alaimọ́ fun nyin ninu ohun ti nrakò lori ilẹ; ase, ati eku, ati awun nipa irú rẹ̀.

²⁹ These also shall be unclean unto you among the creeping things that creep upon the earth; the weasel, and the mouse, and the tortoise after his kind,

³⁰ Ati ọmọ̃le, ati ahanhan, ati alãmu, ati agiliti, ati agẹmọ.

³⁰ And the ferret, and the chameleon, and the lizard, and the snail, and the mole.

³¹ Wọnyi li alaimọ́ fun nyin ninu gbogbo ohun ti nrakò: ẹnikẹni ti o ba farakàn okú wọn, ki o jẹ́ alaimọ́ titi di aṣalẹ.

³¹ These are unclean to you among all that creep: whosoever doth touch them, when they be dead, shall be unclean until the even.

³² Ati lara ohunkohun ti okú wọn ba ṣubulù, ki o jasi alaimọ́; ibaṣe ohun èlo-igi, tabi aṣọ, tabi awọ, tabi àpo, ohunèlo ti o wù ki o ṣe, ninu eyiti a nṣe iṣẹ kan, a kò gbọdọ má fi bọ̀ inu omi, on o si jasi alaimọ́ titi di aṣalẹ; bẹ̃li a o si sọ ọ di mimọ́.

³² And upon whatsoever any of them, when they are dead, doth fall, it shall be unclean; whether it be any vessel of wood, or raiment, or skin, or sack, whatsoever vessel it be, wherein any work is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the even; so it shall be cleansed.

³³ Ati gbogbo ohunèlo amọ̀, ninu eyiti ọkan ninu okú nwọn ba bọ́ si, ohunkohun ti o wù ki o wà ninu rẹ̀ yio di alaimọ́, ki ẹnyin ki o si fọ́ ọ.

³³ And every earthen vessel, whereinto any of them falleth, whatsoever is in it shall be unclean; and ye shall break it.

³⁴ Ninu onjẹ gbogbo ti a o ba jẹ, ti irú omi nì ba dà si, yio di alaimọ́: ati ohun mimu gbogbo ti a o ba mu ninu irú ohunèlo na yio di alaimọ́.

³⁴ Of all meat which may be eaten, that on which such water cometh shall be unclean: and all drink that may be drunk in every such vessel shall be unclean.

³⁵ Ati ohunkohun lara eyiti ninu okú wọn ba ṣubulù, yio di alaimọ́; iba ṣe àro, tabí idana, wiwó ni ki a wó wọn lulẹ: alaimọ́ ni nwọn, nwọn o si jẹ́ alaimọ́ fun nyin.

³⁵ And every thing whereupon any part of their carcase falleth shall be unclean; whether it be oven, or ranges for pots, they shall be broken down: for they are unclean, and shall be unclean unto you.

³⁶ Ṣugbọn orisun tabi kanga kan, ninu eyiti omi pupọ̀ gbé wà, yio jẹ́ mimọ́: ṣugbọn eyiti o ba kàn okú wọn yio jẹ́ alaimọ́.

³⁶ Nevertheless a fountain or pit, wherein there is plenty of water, shall be clean: but that which toucheth their carcase shall be unclean.

³⁷ Bi ninu okú wọn ba bọ́ sara irugbìn kan ti iṣe gbigbìn, yio jẹ́ mimọ́.

³⁷ And if any part of their carcase fall upon any sowing seed which is to be sown, it shall be clean.

³⁸ Ṣugbọn bi a ba dà omi sara irugbìn na, ti ninu okú wọn ba si bọ́ sinu rẹ̀, yio si jẹ́ alaimọ́ fun nyin.

³⁸ But if any water be put upon the seed, and any part of their carcase fall thereon, it shall be unclean unto you.

³⁹ Ati bi ẹran kan, ninu eyiti ẹnyin ba ma jẹ, ba kú; ẹniti o ba farakàn okú rẹ̀ yio jẹ́ alaimọ́ titi di aṣalẹ.

³⁹ And if any beast, of which ye may eat, die; he that toucheth the carcase thereof shall be unclean until the even.

⁴⁰ Ẹniti o ba si jẹ ninu okú rẹ̀, ki o si fọ̀ aṣọ rẹ̀, ki o si jẹ́ alaimọ́ titi di aṣalẹ: ẹniti o ba si rù okú rẹ̀ ki o si fọ̀ aṣọ rẹ̀, ki o si jẹ́ alaimọ́ titi di aṣalẹ.

⁴⁰ And he that eateth of the carcase of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: he also that beareth the carcase of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even.

⁴¹ Ati ohun gbogbo ti nrakò lori ilẹ yio jasi irira; a ki yio jẹ ẹ.

⁴¹ And every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth shall be an abomination; it shall not be eaten.

⁴² Ohunkohun ti nfi inu wọ́, ati ohunkohun ti nfi mẹrẹrin rìn, ati ohunkohun ti o ba ní ẹsẹ̀ pupọ̀, ani ohun gbogbo ti nrakò lori ilẹ, awọn li ẹnyin kò gbọdọ jẹ; nitoripe irira ni nwọn.

⁴² Whatsoever goeth upon the belly, and whatsoever goeth upon all four, or whatsoever hath more feet among all creeping things that creep upon the earth, them ye shall not eat; for they are an abomination.

⁴³ Ẹnyin kò gbọdọ fi ohun kan ti nrakò, sọ ara nyin di irira, bẹ̃li ẹnyin kò gbọdọ fi wọn sọ ara nyin di alaimọ́ ti ẹnyin o fi ti ipa wọn di elẽri.

⁴³ Ye shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creepeth, neither shall ye make yourselves unclean with them, that ye should be defiled thereby.

⁴⁴ Nitoripe Emi li OLUWA Ọlọrun nyin: nitorina ni ki ẹnyin ki o yà ara nyin si mimọ́, ki ẹnyin ki o si jẹ́ mimọ́; nitoripe mimọ́ li Emi: bẹ̃li ẹnyin kò gbọdọ fi ohunkohun ti nrakò sọ ara nyin di elẽri.

⁴⁴ For I am the LORD your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

⁴⁵ Nitoripe Emi li OLUWA ti o mú nyin gòke ti ilẹ Egipti wá, lati ma ṣe Ọlọrun nyin: nitorina ki ẹnyin ki o jẹ́ mimọ́, nitoripe mimọ́ li Emi.

⁴⁵ For I am the LORD that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.

⁴⁶ Eyiyi li ofin ẹranko, ati ti ẹiyẹ, ati ti ẹda gbogbo alãye ti nrá ninu omi, ati ti ẹda gbogbo ti nrakò lori ilẹ:

⁴⁶ This is the law of the beasts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and of every creature that creepeth upon the earth:

⁴⁷ Lati fi iyatọ sãrin aimọ́ ati mimọ́, ati sãrin ohun alãye ti a ba ma jẹ, ati ohun alãye ti a ki ba jẹ.

⁴⁷ To make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten.
