¹ O si ṣe li ọjọ́ pipọ̀ lẹhin ti OLUWA ti fi isimi fun Israeli lọwọ gbogbo awọn ọtá wọn yiká, ti Joṣua di arugbó, ti o si pọ̀ li ọjọ́;

¹ And it came to pass a long time after that the LORD had given rest unto Israel from all their enemies round about, that Joshua waxed old and stricken in age.

² Joṣua si pè gbogbo Israeli, ati awọn àgba wọn, ati awọn olori wọn, ati awọn onidajọ wọn, ati awọn ijoye wọn, o si wi fun wọn pe, Emi di arugbó tán, emi si pọ̀ li ọjọ́:

² And Joshua called for all Israel, and for their elders, and for their heads, and for their judges, and for their officers, and said unto them, I am old and stricken in age:

³ Ẹnyin si ti ri ohun gbogbo ti OLUWA Ọlọrun nyin ti ṣe si gbogbo orilẹ-ède wọnyi nitori nyin; nitori OLUWA Ọlọrun nyin, on li ẹniti o ti jà fun nyin.

³ And ye have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto all these nations because of you; for the LORD your God is he that hath fought for you.

⁴ Wò o, emi ti pín awọn orilẹ-ède wọnyi ti o kù fun nyin, ni ilẹ-iní fun awọn ẹ̀ya nyin, lati Jordani lọ, pẹlu gbogbo awọn orilẹ-ède ti mo ti ke kuro, ani titi dé okun nla ni ìha ìwọ-õrùn.

⁴ Behold, I have divided unto you by lot these nations that remain, to be an inheritance for your tribes, from Jordan, with all the nations that I have cut off, even unto the great sea westward.

⁵ OLUWA Ọlọrun nyin, on ni yio tì wọn jade kuro niwaju nyin, yio si lé wọn kuro li oju nyin; ẹnyin o si ní ilẹ wọn, gẹgẹ bi OLUWA Ọlọrun nyin ti sọ fun nyin.

⁵ And the LORD your God, he shall expel them from before you, and drive them from out of your sight; and ye shall possess their land, as the LORD your God hath promised unto you.

⁶ Nitorina ẹ mura gidigidi lati tọju ati lati ṣe ohun gbogbo ti a kọ sinu iwé ofin Mose, ki ẹnyin ki o má ṣe yipada kuro ninu rẹ̀ si ọwọ́ ọtún tabi si ọwọ́ òsi;

⁶ Be ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom to the right hand or to the left;

⁷ Ki ẹnyin ki o má ṣe wá sãrin awọn orilẹ-ède wọnyi, awọn wọnyi ti o kù pẹlu nyin; ki ẹnyin má ṣe da orukọ oriṣa wọn, bẹ̃ni ki ẹ má ṣe fi wọn bura, ẹ má ṣe sìn wọn, bẹ̃ni ki ẹ má ṣe tẹriba fun wọn:

⁷ That ye come not among these nations, these that remain among you; neither make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause to swear by them, neither serve them, nor bow yourselves unto them:

⁸ Ṣugbọn ki ẹnyin faramọ́ OLUWA Ọlọrun nyin, gẹgẹ bi ẹnyin ti nṣe titi di oni.

⁸ But cleave unto the LORD your God, as ye have done unto this day.

⁹ Nitoriti OLUWA ti lé awọn orilẹ-ède nla ati alagbara kuro niwaju nyin; ṣugbọn bi o ṣe ti nyin ni, kò sí ọkunrin kan ti o ti iduro niwaju nyin titi di oni.

⁹ For the LORD hath driven out from before you great nations and strong: but as for you, no man hath been able to stand before you unto this day.

¹⁰ ọkunrin kan ninu nyin yio lé ẹgbẹrun: nitoripe OLUWA Ọlọrun nyin, on li ẹniti njà fun nyin, gẹgẹ bi o ti sọ fun nyin.

¹⁰ One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you.

¹¹ Nitorina ẹ kiyesara nyin gidigidi, ki ẹ fẹ́ OLUWA Ọlọrun nyin.

¹¹ Take good heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye love the LORD your God.

¹² Ṣugbọn bi ẹ ba daṣà ati pada, ti ẹ si faramọ́ iyokù awọn orile-ède wọnyi, ani awọn wọnyi ti o kù lãrin nyin, ti ẹ si bá wọn gbeyawo, ti ẹ si nwọle tọ̀ wọn, ti awọn si nwọle tọ̀ nyin:

¹² Else if ye do in any wise go back, and cleave unto the remnant of these nations, even these that remain among you, and shall make marriages with them, and go in unto them, and they to you:

¹³ Ki ẹnyin ki o mọ̀ dajudaju pe OLUWA Ọlọrun nyin ki yio lé awọn orilẹ-ède wọnyi jade mọ́ kuro niwaju nyin; ṣugbọn nwọn o jẹ́ okùn-didẹ ati ẹgẹ́ fun nyin, ati paṣán ni ìha nyin, ati ẹgún li oju nyin, titi ẹ o fi ṣegbé kuro ni ilẹ daradara yi ti OLUWA Ọlọrun nyin ti fi fun nyin.

¹³ Know for a certainty that the LORD your God will no more drive out any of these nations from before you; but they shall be snares and traps unto you, and scourges in your sides, and thorns in your eyes, until ye perish from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.

¹⁴ Ẹnyin kiyesi i, li oni emi nlọ si ọ̀na gbogbo aiye: ényin si mọ̀ li àiya nyin gbogbo, ati li ọkàn nyin gbogbo pe, kò sí ohun kan ti o tase ninu ohun rere gbogbo ti OLUWA Ọlọrun nyin ti sọ niti nyin; gbogbo rẹ̀ li o ṣẹ fun nyin, kò si sí ohun ti o tase ninu rẹ̀.

¹⁴ And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof.

¹⁵ Yio si ṣe, gẹgẹ bi ohun rere gbogbo ti ṣẹ fun nyin, ti OLUWA Ọlọrun nyin ti sọ fun nyin; bẹ̃ni OLUWA yio mú ibi gbogbo bá nyin, titi yio fi pa nyin run kuro ni ilẹ daradara yi ti OLUWA Ọlọrun nyin ti fi fun nyin.

¹⁵ Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good things are come upon you, which the LORD your God promised you; so shall the LORD bring upon you all evil things, until he have destroyed you from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.

¹⁶ Nigbati ẹnyin ba re majẹmu OLUWA Ọlọrun nyin kọja, ti o palaṣẹ fun nyin, ti ẹ ba si lọ, ti ẹ ba nsìn oriṣa ti ẹnyin ba tẹ̀ ori nyin bà fun wọn; nigbana ni ibinu OLUWA yio rú si nyin, ẹnyin o si ṣegbé kánkan kuro ni ilẹ daradara ti o ti fi fun nyin.

¹⁶ When ye have transgressed the covenant of the LORD your God, which he commanded you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed yourselves to them; then shall the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and ye shall perish quickly from off the good land which he hath given unto you.
