¹ NKAN wọnyi ni mo ti sọ fun nyin, ki a má ba mu nyin kọsẹ̀.

¹ These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.

² Nwọn o yọ nyin kuro ninu sinagogu: ani, akokò mbọ̀, ti ẹnikẹni ti o ba pa nyin, yio rò pe on nṣe ìsin fun Ọlọrun.

² They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.

³ Nkan wọnyi ni nwọn o si ṣe, nitoriti nwọn kò mọ̀ Baba, nwọn kò si mọ̀ mi.

³ And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

⁴ Ṣugbọn nkan wọnyi ni mo ti sọ fun nyin, pe nigbati wakati wọn ba de, ki ẹ le ranti wọn pe mo ti wi fun nyin. Ṣugbọn emi ko sọ nkan wọnyi fun nyin lati ipilẹṣẹ wá, nitoriti mo wà pẹlu nyin.

⁴ But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.

⁵ Ṣugbọn nisisiyi emi nlọ sọdọ ẹniti o rán mi; kò si si ẹnikan ninu nyin ti o bi mi lẽre pe, Nibo ni iwọ nlọ?

⁵ But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?

⁶ Ṣugbọn nitori mo sọ nkan wọnyi fun nyin, ibinujẹ kún ọkàn nyin.

⁶ But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.

⁷ Ṣugbọn otitọ li emi nsọ fun nyin; Anfani ni yio jẹ fun nyin bi emi ba lọ: nitori bi emi kò ba lọ, Olutunu kì yio tọ̀ nyin wá: ṣugbọn bi mo ba lọ, emi o rán a si nyin.

⁷ Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

⁸ Nigbati on ba si de, yio fi òye yé araiye niti ẹ̀ṣẹ, ati niti ododo, ati niti idajọ:

⁸ And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

⁹ Niti ẹ̀ṣẹ, nitoriti nwọn kò gbà mi gbọ́;

⁹ Of sin, because they believe not on me;

¹⁰ Niti ododo, nitoriti emi nlọ sọdọ Baba, ẹnyin kò si ri mi mọ́;

¹⁰ Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

¹¹ Niti idajọ, nitoriti a ti ṣe idajọ alade aiye yi.

¹¹ Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

¹² Mo ni ohun pipọ lati sọ fun nyin pẹlu, ṣugbọn ẹ kò le gbà wọn nisisiyi.

¹² I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

¹³ Ṣugbọn nigbati on, ani Ẹmí otitọ ni ba de, yio tọ́ nyin si ọ̀na otitọ gbogbo; nitori kì yio sọ̀ ti ara rẹ̀; ṣugbọn ohunkohun ti o ba gbọ́, on ni yio ma sọ: yio si sọ ohun ti mbọ̀ fun nyin.

¹³ Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

¹⁴ On o ma yìn mi logo: nitoriti yio gbà ninu ti emi, yio si ma sọ ọ fun nyin.

¹⁴ He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

¹⁵ Ohun gbogbo ti Baba ni temi ni: nitori eyi ni mo ṣe wipe, on ó gbà ninu temi, yio si sọ ọ fun nyin.

¹⁵ All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

¹⁶ Nigba diẹ, ẹnyin kì o si ri mi: ati nigba diẹ ẹ̀wẹ, ẹ ó si ri mi, nitoriti emi nlọ sọdọ Baba.

¹⁶ A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.

¹⁷ Nitorina omiran ninu awọn ọmọ-ẹhin rẹ̀ mba ara wọn sọ pe, Kili eyi ti o nwi fun wa yi, Nigba diẹ, ẹnyin kì o si ri mi: ati nigba diẹ ẹ̀wẹ, ẹnyin o si ri mi: ati, Nitoriti emi nlọ sọdọ Baba?

¹⁷ Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?

¹⁸ Nitorina nwọn wipe, Kili eyi ti o wi yi, Nigba diẹ? awa kò mọ̀ ohun ti o wi.

¹⁸ They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A little while? we cannot tell what he saith.

¹⁹ Jesu sá ti mọ̀ pe, nwọn nfẹ lati bi on lẽre, o si wi fun wọn pe, Ẹnyin mbi ara nyin lẽre niti eyi ti mo wipe, Nigba diẹ, ẹnyin kì o si ri mi: ati nigba diẹ ẹ̀wẹ, ẹnyin o si ri mi?

¹⁹ Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye inquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me?

²⁰ Lõtọ, lõtọ ni mo wi fun nyin pe, Ẹnyin o ma sọkun ẹ o si ma pohùnrere ẹkún, ṣugbọn awọn araiye yio ma yọ̀: inu nyin yio si bajẹ, ṣugbọn ibinujẹ nyin li yio si di ayọ̀.

²⁰ Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.

²¹ Nigbati obinrin bá nrọbi, a ni ibinujẹ, nitoriti wakati rẹ̀ de: ṣugbọn nigbati o ba ti bí ọmọ na tan, on kì si iranti irora na mọ́, fun ayọ̀ nitori a bí enia si aiye.

²¹ A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.

²² Nitorina ẹnyin ni ibinujẹ nisisiyi: ṣugbọn emi o tún ri nyin, ọkàn nyin yio si yọ̀, kò si si ẹniti yio gbà ayọ̀ nyin lọwọ nyin.

²² And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

²³ Ati ni ijọ na ẹnyin kì o bi mi lẽre ohunkohun. Lõtọ, lõtọ ni mo wi fun nyin, Ohunkohun ti ẹnyin ba bère lọwọ Baba li orukọ mi, on o fifun nyin.

²³ And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

²⁴ Titi di isisiyi ẹ kò ti ibère ohunkohun li orukọ mi: ẹ bère, ẹ o si ri gbà, ki ayọ̀ nyin ki o le kún.

²⁴ Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

²⁵ Nkan wọnyi ni mo ti fi owe sọ fun nyin: ṣugbọn akokò de, nigbati emi kì yio fi owe ba nyin sọrọ mọ́, ṣugbọn emi o sọ ti Baba fun nyin gbangba.

²⁵ These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.

²⁶ Li ọjọ na ẹnyin o bère li orukọ mi: emi kò si wi fun nyin pe, emi o bère lọwọ Baba fun nyin:

²⁶ At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:

²⁷ Nitoriti Baba tikararẹ̀ fẹran nyin, nitoriti ẹnyin ti fẹràn mi, ẹ si ti gbagbọ́ pe, lọdọ Ọlọrun li emi ti jade wá.

²⁷ For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.

²⁸ Mo ti ọdọ Baba jade wá, mo si wá si aiye: ẹ̀wẹ, mo fi aiye silẹ, mo si nlọ sọdọ Baba.

²⁸ I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

²⁹ Awọn ọmọ-ẹhin rẹ̀ wi fun u pe, Wo o, nigbayi ni iwọ nsọ̀rọ̀ gbangba, iwọ kò si sọ ohunkohun li owe.

²⁹ His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb.

³⁰ Nigbayi li awa mọ̀ pe, iwọ mọ̀ ohun gbogbo, iwọ kò ni ki a bi ọ lẽre: nipa eyi li awa gbagbọ́ pe, lọdọ Ọlọrun ni iwọ ti jade wá.

³⁰ Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.

³¹ Jesu da wọn lohùn pe, Ẹnyin gbagbọ́ wayi?

³¹ Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe?

³² Kiyesi i, wakati mbọ̀, ani o de tan nisisiyi, ti a o fọ́n nyin ká kiri, olukuluku si ile rẹ̀; ẹ ó si fi emi nikan silẹ: ṣugbọn kì yio si ṣe emi nikan, nitoriti Baba mbẹ pẹlu mi.

³² Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

³³ Nkan wọnyi ni mo ti sọ fun nyin tẹlẹ̀, ki ẹnyin ki o le ni alafia ninu mi. Ninu aiye, ẹnyin o ni ipọnju; ṣugbọn ẹ tújuka; mo ti ṣẹgun aiye.

³³ These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
