1 NJE ki ajọ irekọja ki o to de, nigbati Jesu mọ̀ pe wakati rẹ̀ de tan, ti on ó ti aiye yi kuro lọ sọdọ Baba, fifẹ ti o fẹ awọn tirẹ̀ ti o wà li aiye, o fẹ wọn titi de opin.
1 Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
2 Bi nwọn si ti njẹ onjẹ alẹ, ti Èṣu ti fi i si ọkàn Judasi Iskariotu ọmọ Simoni lati fi i hàn;
2 And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;
3 Ti Jesu si ti mọ̀ pe Baba ti fi ohun gbogbo le on lọwọ, ati pe lọdọ Ọlọrun li on ti wá, on si nlọ sọdọ Ọlọrun;
3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;
4 O dide ni idi onjẹ alẹ, o si fi agbáda rẹ̀ lelẹ̀ li apakan; nigbati o si mu gèle, o di ara rẹ̀ li àmure.
4 He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.
5 Lẹhinna o bù omi sinu awokòto kan, o si bẹ̀rẹ si ima wẹ̀ ẹsẹ awọn ọmọ-ẹhin rẹ̀, o si nfi gèle ti o fi di àmure nù wọn.
5 After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.
6 Nigbana li o de ọdọ Simoni Peteru. On si wi fun u pe, Oluwa, iwọ nwẹ̀ mi li ẹsẹ?
6 Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?
7 Jesu dahùn o si wi fun u pe, Ohun ti emi nṣe iwọ kò mọ̀ nisisiyi; ṣugbọn yio ye ọ nikẹhin.
7 Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.
8 Peteru wi fun u pe, Iwọ kì yio wẹ̀ mi li ẹsẹ lai. Jesu da a lohùn pe, Bi emi kò bá wẹ̀ ọ, iwọ kò ni ìpin lọdọ mi.
8 Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.
9 Simoni Peteru wi fun u pe, Oluwa, kì iṣe ẹsẹ mi nikan, ṣugbọn ati ọwọ́ ati ori mi pẹlu.
9 Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.
10 Jesu wi fun u pe, Ẹniti a ti wẹ̀ kò tun fẹ ju ki a ṣan ẹsẹ rẹ̀, ṣugbọn o mọ́ nibi gbogbo: ẹnyin si mọ́, ṣugbọn kì iṣe gbogbo nyin.
10 Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.
11 Nitoriti o mọ̀ ẹniti yio fi on hàn; nitorina li o ṣe wipe, Kì iṣe gbogbo nyin li o mọ́.
11 For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.
12 Nitorina lẹhin ti o wẹ̀ ẹsẹ wọn tan, ti o si ti mu agbáda rẹ̀, ti o tún joko, o wi fun wọn pe, Ẹnyin mọ̀ ohun ti mo ṣe si nyin?
12 So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?
13 Ẹnyin npè mi li Olukọni ati Oluwa: ẹnyin wi rere; bẹ̃ni mo jẹ.
13 Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.
14 Njẹ bi emi ti iṣe Oluwa ati Olukọni nyin ba wẹ̀ ẹsẹ nyin, o tọ́ ki ẹnyin pẹlu si mã wẹ̀ ẹsẹ ara nyin.
14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.
15 Nitori mo ti fi apẹ̃rẹ fun nyin, ki ẹnyin ki o le mã ṣe gẹgẹ bi mo ti ṣe si nyin.
15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
16 Lòtọ, lõtọ ni mo wi fun nyin, Ọmọ-ọdọ kò tobi jù oluwa rẹ̀ lọ; bẹ̃ni ẹniti a rán kò tobi jù ẹniti o rán a lọ.
16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
17 Bi ẹnyin ba mọ̀ nkan wọnyi, alabukun-fun ni nyin, bi ẹnyin ba nṣe wọn.
17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
18 Kì iṣe ti gbogbo nyin ni mo nsọ: emi mọ̀ awọn ti mo yàn: ṣugbọn ki iwe-mimọ́ ki o le ṣẹ, Ẹniti mba mi jẹun pọ̀ si gbé gigĩsẹ rẹ̀ si mi.
18 I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me.
19 Lati isisiyi lọ mo sọ fun nyin ki o to de, pe nigbati o ba de, ki ẹnyin ki o le gbagbọ́ pe emi ni.
19 Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he.
20 Lõtọ, lõtọ ni mo wi fun nyin, Ẹniti o ba gbà ẹnikẹni ti mo rán, o gbà mi; ẹniti o ba si gbà mi o gbà ẹniti o rán mi.
20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.
21 Nigbati Jesu ti wi nkan wọnyi tan, ọkàn rẹ̀ daru ninu rẹ̀, o si jẹri, o si wipe, Lõtọ lõtọ ni mo wi fun nyin pe, ọkan ninu nyin yio fi mi hàn.
21 When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.
22 Awọn ọmọ-ẹhin rẹ̀ nwò ara wọn loju, nwọn nṣiye-meji ti ẹniti o wi.
22 Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spake.
23 Njẹ ẹnikan rọ̀gún si àiya Jesu, ọkan ninu awọn ọmọ-ẹhin rẹ̀, ẹniti Jesu fẹràn.
23 Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.
24 Nitorina ni Simoni Peteru ṣapẹrẹ si i, o si wi fun u pe, Wi fun wa ti ẹniti o nsọ.
24 Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom he spake.
25 Ẹniti o nrọ̀gún li àiya Jesu wi fun u pe, Oluwa, tani iṣe?
25 He then lying on Jesus' breast saith unto him, Lord, who is it?
26 Nitorina Jesu dahùn pe, On na ni, ẹniti mo ba fi òkele fun nigbati mo ba fi run. Nigbati o si fi i run tan, o fifun Judasi Iskariotu ọmọ Simoni.
26 Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.
27 Lẹhin òkele na ni Satani wọ̀ inu rẹ̀ lọ. Nitorina Jesu wi fun u pe, Ohun ti iwọ nṣe nì, yara ṣe e kánkan.
27 And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.
28 Kò si si ẹnikan nibi tabili ti o mọ̀ idi ohun ti o ṣe sọ eyi fun u.
28 Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spake this unto him.
29 Nitori awọn miran ninu wọn rò pe, nitori Judasi li o ni àpo, ni Jesu fi wi fun u pe, Rà nkan wọnni ti a kò le ṣe alaini fun ajọ na; tabi ki o le fi nkan fun awọn talakà.
29 For some of them thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said unto him, Buy those things that we have need of against the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor.
30 Nigbati o si ti gbà òkele na tan, o jade lojukanna: oru si ni.
30 He then having received the sop went immediately out: and it was night.
31 Nitorina nigbati o jade lọ tan, Jesu wipe, Nisisiyi li a yìn Ọmọ-enia logo, a si yìn Ọlọrun logo ninu rẹ̀.
31 Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.
32 Bi a ba yìn Ọlọrun logo ninu rẹ̀, Ọlọrun yio si yìn i logo ninu on tikararẹ̀, yio si yìn i logo nisisiyi.
32 If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall straightway glorify him.
33 Ẹnyin ọmọde, nigba diẹ si i li emi wà pẹlu nyin. Ẹnyin ó wá mi: ati gẹgẹ bi mo ti wi fun awọn Ju pe, Nibiti emi gbé nlọ, ẹnyin kì o le wá; bẹ̃ni mo si wi fun nyin nisisiyi.
33 Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you.
34 Ofin titun kan ni mo fifun nyin, Ki ẹnyin ki o fẹ ọmọnikeji nyin; gẹgẹ bi emi ti fẹran nyin, ki ẹnyin ki o si le fẹran ọmọnikeji nyin.
34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
35 Nipa eyi ni gbogbo enia yio fi mọ̀ pe, ọmọ-ẹhin mi li ẹnyin iṣe, nigbati ẹnyin ba ni ifẹ si ọmọnikeji nyin.
35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
36 Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, whither goest thou? Jesus answered him, Whither I go, thou canst not follow me now; but thou shalt follow me afterwards.
37 Peteru wi fun u pe, Oluwa, ẽṣe ti emi ko fi le tọ̀ ọ nisisiyi? emi o fi ẹmí mi lelẹ nitori rẹ.
37 Peter said unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thy sake.
38 Jesu da a lohùn wipe, Iwọ o ha fi ẹmí rẹ lelẹ nitori mi? Lõtọ, lõtọ ni mo wi fun ọ, Akukọ kì yio kọ, ki iwọ ki o to sẹ́ mi nigba mẹta.
38 Jesus answered him, Wilt thou lay down thy life for my sake? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, The cock shall not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice.
