1 Ẹ fun ipè ni Sioni, ẹ si dá idagìri ni oke mimọ́ mi; jẹ ki awọn ará ilẹ na warìri: nitoriti ọjọ Oluwa mbọ̀ wá, nitori o kù si dẹ̀dẹ;

1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

2 Ọjọ òkunkun ati òkudu, ọjọ ikũku ati òkunkun biribiri, bi ọyẹ̀ owurọ̀ ti ilà bò ori awọn oke-nla: enia nla ati alagbara; kò ti isi iru rẹ̀ ri, bẹ̃ni iru rẹ̀ kì yio si mọ lẹhin rẹ̀, titi de ọdun iran de iran.

2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

3 Iná njó niwaju wọn; ọwọ́-iná si njó lẹhin wọn: ilẹ na dàbi ọgbà Edeni niwaju wọn, ati lẹhin wọn bi ahoro ijù; nitõtọ, kò si si ohun ti yio bọ́ lọwọ wọn.

3 A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.

4 Irí wọn dàbi irí awọn ẹṣin; ati bi awọn ẹlẹṣin, bẹ̃ni nwọn o sure.

4 The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.

5 Bi ariwo kẹkẹ́ lori oke ni nwọn o fò, bi ariwo ọwọ́-iná ti o jó koriko gbigbẹ, bi alagbara enia ti a tẹ́ ni itẹ́gun.

5 Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.

6 Li oju wọn, awọn enia yio jẹ irora pupọ̀: gbogbo oju ni yio ṣú dùdu.

6 Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness.

7 They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:

8 Bẹ̃ni ẹnikan kì yio tì ẹnikeji rẹ̀; olukuluku wọn o rìn li ọ̀na rẹ̀: nigbati nwọn ba si ṣubu lù idà, nwọn kì o gbọgbẹ́.

8 Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.

9 Nwọn o sure siwa sẹhin ni ilu: nwọn o sure lori odi, nwọn o gùn ori ile; nwọn o gbà oju fèrese wọ̀ inu ile bi olè.

9 They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.

10 Aiye yio mì niwaju wọn; awọn ọrun yio warìri: õrùn ati oṣupa yio ṣu òkunkun, awọn iràwọ yio si fà imọlẹ wọn sẹhìn.

10 The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:

11 Oluwa yio si fọ̀ ohùn rẹ̀ jade niwaju ogun rẹ̀: nitori ibùdo rẹ̀ tobi gidigidi: nitori alagbara li on ti nmu ọ̀rọ rẹ̀ ṣẹ; nitori ọjọ Oluwa tobi o si li ẹ̀ru gidigidi; ara tali o le gbà a?

11 And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

12 Njẹ nitorina nisisiyi, ni Oluwa wi, Ẹ fi gbogbo ọkàn nyin yipada si mi, ati pẹlu ãwẹ̀, ati pẹlu ẹkún, ati pẹlu ọ̀fọ.

12 Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:

13 Ẹ si fà aiyà nyin ya, kì isi ṣe aṣọ nyin, ẹ si yipadà si Oluwa Ọlọrun nyin, nitoriti o pọ̀ li ore-ọfẹ, o si kún fun ãnu, o lọra lati binu, o si ṣeun pupọ̀, o si ronupiwada ati ṣe buburu.

13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

14 Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God?

15 Ẹ fun ipè ni Sioni, ẹ yà ãwẹ̀ kan si mimọ́, ẹ pè ajọ ti o ni irònu.

15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:

16 Ẹ kó awọn enia jọ, ẹ yà ijọ si mimọ́, ẹ pè awọn àgba jọ, ẹ kó awọn ọmọde jọ, ati awọn ti nmu ọmú: jẹ ki ọkọ iyàwo jade kuro ni iyẹ̀wu rẹ̀, ati iyàwo kuro ninu iyẹ̀wu rẹ̀.

16 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.

17 Jẹ ki awọn alufa, awọn iranṣẹ Oluwa, sọkun lãrin iloro ati pẹpẹ, si jẹ ki wọn wi pe, Dá awọn enia rẹ si, Oluwa, má si ṣe fi iní rẹ fun ẹ̀gan, ti awọn keferi yio fi ma jọba lori wọn: ẽṣe ti nwọn o fi wi ninu awọn enia pe, Ọlọrun wọn há da?

17 Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?

18 Nigbana ni Oluwa yio jowú fun ilẹ rẹ̀, yio si kãnu fun enia rẹ̀.

18 Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people.

19 Nitõtọ, Oluwa yio dahùn, yio si wi fun awọn enia rẹ̀ pe, Wò o emi o rán ọkà, ati ọti-waini, ati ororo si nyin, a o si fi wọn tẹ́ nyin lọrùn: emi kì yio si fi nyin ṣe ẹ̀gan mọ lãrin awọn keferi.

19 Yea, the LORD will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen:

20 Ṣugbọn emi o ṣi ogun ariwa nì jinà rére kuro lọdọ nyin, emi o si le e lọ si ilẹ ti o ṣá, ti o si di ahoro, pẹlu oju rẹ̀ si okun ila-õrun, ati ẹhìn rẹ̀ si ipẹkùn okun, õrùn rẹ̀ yio si goke, õrùn buburu rẹ̀ yio si goke, nitoriti o ti ṣe ohun nla.

20 But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.

21 Má bẹ̀ru, iwọ ilẹ; jẹ ki inu rẹ dùn, ki o si yọ̀: nitori Oluwa yio ṣe ohun nla.

21 Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things.

22 Ẹ má bẹ̀ru, ẹranko igbẹ: nitori pápa-oko aginju nrú, nitori igi nso eso rẹ̀, igi ọ̀pọtọ ati àjara nso eso ipá wọn.

22 Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.

23 Njẹ jẹ ki inu nyin dùn, ẹnyin ọmọ Sioni, ẹ si yọ̀ ninu Oluwa Ọlọrun nyin; nitoriti o ti fi akọrọ̀ ojò fun nyin bi o ti tọ́, on o si mu ki ojò rọ̀ silẹ fun nyin, akọrọ̀ ati arọ̀kuro ojò ni oṣù ikini.

23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

24 Ati awọn ilẹ ipakà yio kún fun ọkà, ati ọpọ́n wọnni yio ṣàn jade pẹlu ọti-waini ati ororo.

24 And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil.

25 Emi o si mu ọdun wọnni padà fun nyin wá, eyi ti ẽṣú on iru kòkoro jewejewe, ati iru kòkoro keji, ati iru kòkoro jewejewe miràn ti fi jẹ, awọn ogun nla mi ti mo rán sãrin nyin.

25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

26 Ẹnyin o si jẹun li ọ̀pọlọpọ, ẹ o si yó, ẹ o si yìn orukọ Oluwa Ọlọrun nyin, ẹniti o fi iyanu ba nyin lò; oju kì o si tì awọn enia mi lai.

26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

27 Ẹnyin o si mọ̀ pe, emi wà lãrin Israeli, ati pe: Emi li Oluwa Ọlọrun nyin, kì iṣe ẹlomiràn: oju kì yio si tì awọn enia mi lai.

27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.

28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

29 Ati pẹlu si ara awọn ọmọ-ọdọ ọkunrin, ati si ara awọn ọmọ-ọdọ obinrin, li emi o tú ẹmi mi jade li ọjọ wọnni.

29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

30 Emi o si fi iṣẹ iyanu hàn li ọrun ati li aiye, ẹjẹ̀ ati iná, ati ọwọ̀n ẹ̃fin.

30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

31 A ó sọ õrùn di òkunkun, ati oṣùpá di ẹjẹ̀, ki ọjọ nla ati ẹ̀ru Oluwa to de.

31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

32 Yio si ṣe ẹnikẹni ti o ba ke pè orukọ Oluwa li a o gbàla: nitori li oke Sioni ati ni Jerusalemu ni igbàla yio gbe wà, bi Oluwa ti wi, ati ninu awọn iyokù ti Oluwa yio pè.

32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.
