Read Jeremiah 6
1 ẸNYIN ọmọ Benjamini, ẹ ko ẹrù nyin salọ kuro li arin Jerusalemu, ẹ si fun fère ni Tekoa, ki ẹ si gbe àmi soke ni Bet-hakeremu, nitori ibi farahàn lati ariwa wá; ani iparun nlanla.
1 O ye children of Benjamin, gather yourselves to flee out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and set up a sign of fire in Beth-haccerem: for evil appeareth out of the north, and great destruction.
2 Emi ti pa ọmọbinrin Sioni run, ti o ṣe ẹlẹgẹ ati ẹlẹwà.
2 I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate woman.
3 Awọn oluṣọ-agutan pẹlu agbo wọn yio tọ̀ ọ wá, nwọn o pa agọ wọn yi i ka olukuluku yio ma jẹ ni àgbegbe rẹ̀.
3 The shepherds with their flocks shall come unto her; they shall pitch their tents against her round about; they shall feed every one in his place.
4 Ẹ ya ara nyin si mimọ́ lati ba a jagun; dide, ki ẹ si jẹ ki a goke li ọsan. Egbe ni fun wa! nitori ọjọ nlọ, nitori ojiji ọjọ alẹ nà jade.
4 Prepare ye war against her; arise, and let us go up at noon. Woe unto us! for the day goeth away, for the shadows of the evening are stretched out.
5 Dide, ẹ jẹ ki a goke lọ li oru, ki a si pa ãfin rẹ̀ run.
5 Arise, and let us go by night, and let us destroy her palaces.
6 Nitori bayi li Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun wi, ke igi lulẹ, ki ẹ si wà yàra ka Jerusalemu; eyi ni ilu nla ti a o bẹ̀wo; kìki ininilara li o wà lãrin rẹ̀.
6 For thus hath the LORD of hosts said, Hew ye down trees, and cast a mount against Jerusalem: this is the city to be visited; she is wholly oppression in the midst of her.
7 Bi isun ti itú omi rẹ̀ jade, bẹ̃ni o ntú ìwa-buburu rẹ̀ jade: ìwa-ipa ati ìka li a gbọ́ niwaju mi nigbagbogbo ninu rẹ̀, ani aisan ati ọgbẹ́.
7 As a fountain casteth out her waters, so she casteth out her wickedness: violence and spoil is heard in her; before me continually is grief and wounds.
8 Gbọ́ ẹkọ́, Jerusalemu, ki ẹmi mi ki o má ba lọ kuro lọdọ rẹ; ki emi má ba sọ ọ di ahoro, ilẹ ti a kò gbe inu rẹ̀.
8 Be thou instructed, O Jerusalem, lest my soul depart from thee; lest I make thee desolate, a land not inhabited.
9 Bayi li Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun wi, jẹ ki nwọn ki o pẽṣẹ iyokù Israeli bi àjara: yi ọwọ rẹ pada bi aká-eso-ajara sinu agbọ̀n.
9 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall throughly glean the remnant of Israel as a vine: turn back thine hand as a grapegatherer into the baskets.
10 Tani emi o sọ fun, ti emi o kilọ fun ti nwọn o si gbọ́? sa wò o, eti wọn jẹ alaikọla, nwọn kò si le fi iye si i: sa wò o, ọ̀rọ Oluwa di ẹ̀gan si wọn, nwọn kò ni inu didùn ninu rẹ̀.
10 To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.
11 Nitorina emi kún fun ikannu Oluwa, ãrẹ̀ mu mi lati pa a mọra: tu u jade sori ọmọde ni ita, ati sori ajọ awọn ọmọkunrin pẹlu: nitori a o mu bãle pẹlu aya rẹ̀ ni igbekun, arugbo pẹlu ẹniti o ni ọjọ kikún lori.
11 Therefore I am full of the fury of the LORD; I am weary with holding in: I will pour it out upon the children abroad, and upon the assembly of young men together: for even the husband with the wife shall be taken, the aged with him that is full of days.
12 Ile wọn o di ti ẹlomiran, oko wọn ati aya wọn lakopọ̀: nitori emi o nà ọwọ mi si ori awọn olugbe ilẹ na, li Oluwa wi.
12 And their houses shall be turned unto others, with their fields and wives together: for I will stretch out my hand upon the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD.
13 Lati kekere wọn titi de nla wọn, gbogbo wọn li o fi ara wọn fun ojukokoro, ati lati woli titi de alufa, gbogbo wọn ni nṣe eke.
13 For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.
14 Nwọn si ti wo ọgbẹ ọmọbinrin enia mi fẹrẹ̀; nwọn wipe, Alafia! Alafia! nigbati kò si alafia.
14 They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.
15 A mu itiju ba wọn, nitoriti nwọn ṣe ohun irira: sibẹ nwọn kò tiju kan pẹlu, pẹlupẹlu õru itiju kò mu wọn: nitorina nwọn o ṣubu lãrin awọn ti o ṣubu: nigbati emi ba bẹ̀ wọn wo, a o wó wọn lulẹ, li Oluwa wi.
15 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.
16 Bayi li Oluwa wi, ẹ duro li oju ọ̀na, ki ẹ si wò, ki ẹ si bere oju-ọ̀na igbàni, ewo li ọ̀na didara, ki ẹ si rin nibẹ, ẹnyin o si ri isimi fun ọkàn nyin. Ṣugbọn nwọn wipe, Awa kì yio rin.
16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
17 Pẹlupẹlu mo fi oluṣọ sọdọ nyin, ti o wipe, Ẹ fi eti si iro fère. Ṣugbọn nwọn wipe, awa kì yio feti si i.
17 Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.
18 Nitorina, gbọ́, ẹnyin orilẹ-ède, ki ẹ si mọ̀, ẹnyin ijọ enia, ohun ti o wà ninu wọn!
18 Therefore hear, ye nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them.
19 Gbọ́, iwọ ilẹ! wò o, emi o mu ibi wá si ori enia yi, ani eso iro inu wọn, nitori nwọn kò fi eti si ọ̀rọ mi, ati ofin mi ni nwọn kọ̀ silẹ.
19 Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it.
20 Ère wo li o wà fun mi ninu turari lati Ṣeba wá, ati ẽsu daradara lati ilẹ ti o jina wá? ọrẹ sisun nyin kò ṣe inu-didun mi, ẹbọ jijẹ nyin kò wù mi.
20 To what purpose cometh there to me incense from Sheba, and the sweet cane from a far country? your burnt offerings are not acceptable, nor your sacrifices sweet unto me.
21 Nitorina, bayi li Oluwa wi, sa wò o, emi o fi ohun idugbolu siwaju awọn enia yi, ti baba ati awọn ọmọ yio jumọ ṣubu lù wọn, aladugbo ati ọrẹ rẹ̀ yio ṣegbe.
21 Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will lay stumblingblocks before this people, and the fathers and the sons together shall fall upon them; the neighbour and his friend shall perish.
22 Bayi li Oluwa wi, sa wò o, enia kan ti ilu ariwa wá, ati orilẹ-ède nla kan yio ti opin ilẹ aiye dide wá.
22 Thus saith the LORD, Behold, a people cometh from the north country, and a great nation shall be raised from the sides of the earth.
23 Nwọn di ọrun ati ọ̀kọ mu; onroro ni nwọn, nwọn kò ni ãnu; ohùn wọn yio hó bi okun; nwọn gun ẹṣin; nwọn si mura bi ọkunrin ti yio ja ọ logun, iwọ ọmọbinrin Sioni.
23 They shall lay hold on bow and spear; they are cruel, and have no mercy; their voice roareth like the sea; and they ride upon horses, set in array as men for war against thee, O daughter of Zion.
24 Awa ti gbọ́ òkiki eyi na: ọwọ wa di rirọ, ẹ̀dun ti di wa mu, ati irora bi obinrin ti nrọbi.
24 We have heard the fame thereof: our hands wax feeble: anguish hath taken hold of us, and pain, as of a woman in travail.
25 Máṣe lọ si inu oko, bẹ̃ni ki o má si rin oju ọ̀na na, nitori idà ọ̀ta, idagiri wà yikakiri.
25 Go not forth into the field, nor walk by the way; for the sword of the enemy and fear is on every side.
26 Iwọ, ọmọbinrin enia mi, di ara rẹ ni amure aṣọ-ọ̀fọ ki o si ku ẽru sara, ṣe ọ̀fọ bi ẹniti nṣọ̀fọ fun ọmọ rẹ̀ nikanṣoṣo, pohùnrere kikoro: nitori afiniṣe-ijẹ yio ṣubu lù wa lojiji.
26 O daughter of my people, gird thee with sackcloth, and wallow thyself in ashes: make thee mourning, as for an only son, most bitter lamentation: for the spoiler shall suddenly come upon us.
27 Emi ti fi ọ ṣe ẹniti o ma dán ni wò, odi alagbara lãrin enia mi, ki iwọ ki o le mọ̀ ki o si le dan ọ̀na wọn wò.
27 I have set thee for a tower and a fortress among my people, that thou mayest know and try their way.
28 Gbogbo nwọn ni alagidi ọlọtẹ̀, ti nrin kiri sọ̀rọ̀ ẹni lẹhin, idẹ ati irin ni nwọn; abanijẹ ni gbogbo nwọn iṣe.
28 They are all grievous revolters, walking with slanders: they are brass and iron; they are all corrupters.
29 Ẹwìri joná, iná ti jẹ ojé, ẹniti nyọ ọ, nyọ ọ lasan, a kò si ya enia buburu kuro.
29 The bellows are burned, the lead is consumed of the fire; the founder melteth in vain: for the wicked are not plucked away.
30 Fàdaka bibajẹ ni enia yio ma pè wọn, nitori Oluwa ti kọ̀ wọn silẹ.
30 Reprobate silver shall men call them, because the LORD hath rejected them.
