Read Jeremiah 12
1 ALARE ni iwọ, Oluwa, nigbati mo mba ọ wijọ: sibẹ, jẹ ki emi ba ọ sọ ti ọ̀ran idajọ: ẽtiṣe ti ãsiki mbẹ ni ọ̀na enia buburu, ti gbogbo awọn ti nṣe ẹ̀tan jẹ alailewu.
1 Righteous art thou, O LORD, when I plead with thee: yet let me talk with thee of thy judgments: Wherefore doth the way of the wicked prosper? wherefore are all they happy that deal very treacherously?
2 Iwọ ti gbìn wọn, nwọn si ti ta gbòngbo: nwọn dagba, nwọn si nso eso: iwọ sunmọ ẹnu wọn, o si jìna si ọkàn wọn.
2 Thou hast planted them, yea, they have taken root: they grow, yea, they bring forth fruit: thou art near in their mouth, and far from their reins.
3 Ṣugbọn iwọ, Oluwa, mọ̀ mi: iwọ ri mi, o si dan ọkàn mi wò bi o ti ri si ọ: pa wọn mọ bi agutan fun pipa, ki o si yà wọn sọtọ fun ọjọ pipa.
3 But thou, O LORD, knowest me: thou hast seen me, and tried mine heart toward thee: pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter.
4 Yio ti pẹ to ti ilẹ yio fi ma ṣọ̀fọ, ati ti ewe igbẹ gbogbo yio rẹ̀ nitori ìwa-buburu awọn ti mbẹ ninu rẹ̀? ẹranko ati ẹiyẹ nṣòfò nitori ti nwọn wipe, on kì o ri ẹ̀hin wa.
4 How long shall the land mourn, and the herbs of every field wither, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein? the beasts are consumed, and the birds; because they said, He shall not see our last end.
5 Bi iwọ ba ba ẹlẹsẹ rìn, ti ãrẹ si mu ọ, iwọ o ha ti ṣe ba ẹlẹṣin dije? ati pẹlu ni ilẹ alafia, bi iwọ ba ni igbẹkẹle, kini iwọ o ṣe ninu ẹkún odò Jordani?
5 If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?
6 Nitori pẹlupẹlu, awọn arakunrin rẹ, ati ile baba rẹ, awọn na ti hùwa ẹ̀tan si ọ, lõtọ, awọn na ti ho le ọ: Má gbẹkẹle wọn, bi nwọn tilẹ ba ọ sọ̀rọ daradara.
6 For even thy brethren, and the house of thy father, even they have dealt treacherously with thee; yea, they have called a multitude after thee: believe them not, though they speak fair words unto thee.
7 Emi ti kọ̀ ile mi silẹ, mo ti fi ogún mi silẹ; mo ti fi olufẹ ọ̀wọn ọkàn mi le ọta rẹ̀ lọwọ.
7 I have forsaken mine house, I have left mine heritage; I have given the dearly beloved of my soul into the hand of her enemies.
8 Ogún mi di kiniun ninu igbo fun mi; on kigbe soke si mi; nitorina ni mo ṣe korira rẹ̀.
8 Mine heritage is unto me as a lion in the forest; it crieth out against me: therefore have I hated it.
9 Ogún mi di ẹranko ọ̀wawa fun mi, ẹranko yi i kakiri, ẹ lọ, ẹ ko gbogbo ẹran igbẹ jọ pọ̀, ẹ mu wọn wá jẹ.
9 Mine heritage is unto me as a speckled bird, the birds round about are against her; come ye, assemble all the beasts of the field, come to devour.
10 Ọ̀pọlọpọ oluṣọ-agutan ba ọgba ajara mi jẹ, nwọn tẹ ipin oko mi mọlẹ labẹ ẹsẹ wọn, nwọn ti sọ ipin oko mi ti mo fẹ di aginju ahoro.
10 Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.
11 Nwọn ti sọ ọ di ahoro, o ṣọ̀fọ fun mi bi ahoro: gbogbo ilẹ ti di ahoro, nitori ti kò si ẹnikan ti o rò li ọkàn rẹ̀.
11 They have made it desolate, and being desolate it mourneth unto me; the whole land is made desolate, because no man layeth it to heart.
12 Awọn abanijẹ ti gori gbogbo ibi giga wọnni ni ọ̀dan, nitori idà Oluwa yio pa lati ikangun de ikangun ekeji ilẹ na, alafia kò si fun gbogbo alãye.
12 The spoilers are come upon all high places through the wilderness: for the sword of the LORD shall devour from the one end of the land even to the other end of the land: no flesh shall have peace.
13 Nwọn ti gbin alikama, ṣugbọn nwọn o ka ẹ́gun, nwọn ti fi irora ẹ̀dun mu ara wọn, ṣugbọn nwọn kì yio ri anfani: ki oju ki o tì nyin nitori ère nyin, nitori ibinu gbigbona Oluwa.
13 They have sown wheat, but shall reap thorns: they have put themselves to pain, but shall not profit: and they shall be ashamed of your revenues because of the fierce anger of the LORD.
14 Bayi li Oluwa wi si gbogbo awọn aladugbo buburu mi ti nwọn fi ọwọ kan ogún mi ti mo ti mu enia mi, Israeli, jogun. Sa wò o, emi o fa wọn tu kuro ni ilẹ wọn, emi o si fà ile Juda tu kuro larin wọn.
14 Thus saith the LORD against all mine evil neighbours, that touch the inheritance which I have caused my people Israel to inherit; Behold, I will pluck them out of their land, and pluck out the house of Judah from among them.
15 Yio si ṣe, nigba ti emi o ti fà wọn tu kuro tan, emi o pada, emi o si ni iyọ́nu si wọn, emi o si tun mu wọn wá, olukuluku wọn, si ogún rẹ̀, ati olukuluku si ilẹ rẹ̀.
15 And it shall come to pass, after that I have plucked them out I will return, and have compassion on them, and will bring them again, every man to his heritage, and every man to his land.
16 Yio si ṣe, bi nwọn ba ṣe ãpọn lati kọ́ ìwa enia mi, lati fi orukọ mi bura pe, Oluwa mbẹ: gẹgẹ bi nwọn ti kọ́ enia mi lati fi Baali bura; nigbana ni a o gbe wọn ró lãrin enia mi.
16 And it shall come to pass, if they will diligently learn the ways of my people, to swear by my name, The LORD liveth; as they taught my people to swear by Baal; then shall they be built in the midst of my people.
17 Ṣugbọn bi nwọn kì o gbọ́, emi o fà orilẹ-ède na tu patapata; emi o si pa wọn run, li Oluwa wi.
17 But if they will not obey, I will utterly pluck up and destroy that nation, saith the LORD.
