1 TALI o ti gbà ihìn wa gbọ́? tali a si ti fi apá Oluwa hàn fun?

1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

2 Nitori yio dàgba niwaju rẹ̀ bi ọ̀jẹlẹ ohun ọ̀gbin, ati bi gbòngbo lati inu ilẹ gbigbẹ: irísi rẹ̀ kò dara, bẹ̃ni kò li ẹwà, nigbati a ba si ri i, kò li ẹwà ti a ba fi fẹ ẹ.

2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

3 A kẹgan rẹ̀ a si kọ̀ ọ lọdọ awọn enia, ẹni-ikãnu, ti o si mọ̀ ibanujẹ: o si dabi ẹnipe o mu ki a pa oju wa mọ kuro lara rẹ̀; a kẹgàn rẹ̀, awa kò si kà a si.

3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

4 Lõtọ o ti ru ibinujẹ wa, o si gbe ikãnu wa lọ; ṣugbọn awa kà a si bi ẹniti a nà, ti a lù lati ọdọ Ọlọrun, ti a si pọ́n loju.

4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5 Ṣugbọn a ṣá a li ọgbẹ nitori irekọja wa, a pa a li ara nitori aiṣedede wa; ìna alafia wa wà lara rẹ̀, ati nipa ìna rẹ̀ li a fi mu wa lara da.

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

6 Gbogbo wa ti ṣina kirikiri bi agutan, olukuluku wa tẹ̀le ọ̀na ara rẹ̀; Oluwa si ti mu aiṣedede wa gbogbo pade lara rẹ̀.

6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

7 A jẹ ẹ ni iyà, a si pọ́n ọ loju, ṣugbọn on kò yà ẹnu rẹ̀: a mu u wá bi ọdọ-agutan fun pipa, ati bi agutan ti o yadi niwaju olurẹ́run rẹ̀, bẹ̃ni kò yà ẹnu rẹ̀.

7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

8 A mu u jade lati ibi ihamọ on idajọ: tani o si sọ iran rẹ̀? nitori a ti ke e kuro ni ilẹ alãye: nitori irekọja awọn enia mi li a ṣe lù u.

8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

9 O si ṣe ibojì rẹ̀ pẹlu awọn enia buburu, ati pẹlu ọlọrọ̀ ni ikú rẹ̀; nitori kò hù iwà-ipa, bẹ̃ni kò si arekereke li ẹnu rẹ̀.

9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

10 Ṣugbọn o wu Oluwa lati pa a lara; o ti fi i sinu ibanujẹ; nigbati iwọ o fi ẹmi rẹ̀ ṣẹbọ fun ẹ̀ṣẹ: yio ri iru-ọmọ rẹ̀, yio mu ọjọ rẹ̀ gùn, ifẹ Oluwa yio ṣẹ li ọwọ́ rẹ̀.

10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

11 Yio ri ninu eso lãlã ọkàn rẹ̀, yio si tẹ́ ẹ li ọrùn: nipa imọ̀ rẹ̀ ni iranṣẹ mi olododo yio da ọ̀pọlọpọ lare; nitori yio rù aiṣedede wọn wọnni.

11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

12 Nitorina emi o fun u ni ipín pẹlu awọn ẹni-nla, yio si ba awọn alagbara pín ikogun, nitori o ti tú ẹmi rẹ̀ jade si ikú: a si kà a mọ awọn alarekọja, o si rù ẹ̀ṣẹ ọ̀pọlọpọ; o si nṣipẹ̀ fun awọn alarekọja.

12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
