Read Isaiah 28
1 EGBE ni fun ade igberaga, fun awọn ọmuti Efraimu, ati fun itàna rirọ ti ogo ẹwà rẹ , ti o wà lori afonifoji ọlọra ti awọn ti ọti-waini pa.
1 Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!
2 Kiye si i, Oluwa ni ẹnikan alagbara ati onipá, bi ẹfũfu lile, yiyin, ati ìji iparun, bi iṣàn-omi nla àkúnya, yio fi ọwọ́ bì ṣubu sori ilẹ.
2 Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.
3 Ade igberaga, awọn ọmuti Efraimu, li a o fi ẹsẹ tẹ mọlẹ:
3 The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim, shall be trodden under feet:
4 Ati ogo ẹwà, ti o wà lori afonifoji ọlọra, yio jẹ itanna rirọ, gẹgẹ bi eso ti o yara ṣaju igba ìkore; eyiti nigbati ẹniti o ba nwò o ba ri, nigbati o wà li ọwọ́ rẹ sibẹ, o gbe e mì.
4 And the glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley, shall be a fading flower, and as the hasty fruit before the summer; which when he that looketh upon it seeth, while it is yet in his hand he eateth it up.
5 Li ọjọ na li Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun yio jẹ ade ogo, ati ade ẹwà fun iyokù awọn enia rẹ ,
5 In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people,
6 Ati ẹmi idajọ fun awọn ẹniti o joko ni idajọ, ati agbara fun awọn ti o le ogun padà si ibode.
6 And for a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.
7 Ṣugbọn awọn pẹlu ti ti ipa ọti-waini ṣìna, ati nipa ọti-lile nwọn ti ṣako; alufa ati wolĩ ti ṣìna nipa ọti-lile, ọti-waini mu wọn daradara, nwọn di aṣako nipa ọti-lile, nwọn ṣìna ninu iran, nwọn kọsẹ ni idajọ.
7 But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.
8 Nitori gbogbo tabili li o kún fun ẽbi ati ẹgbin, kò si ibi ti o mọ́.
8 For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean.
9 Tani on o kọ́ ni ìmọ? ati tani on o fi oye ẹkọ́ yé? awọn ẹniti a wọ́n li ẹnu-ọmú, ti a si já li ẹnu ọyàn.
9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
10 Nitori aṣẹ le aṣẹ, aṣẹ le aṣẹ; ẹsẹ le ẹsẹ, ẹsẹ le ẹsẹ; diẹ nihin, diẹ lọhun:
10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
11 Nitori nipa ète ẹlẹyà ati ni ède miran li on o fi bá enia wọnyi sọ rọ.
11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
12 Si ẹniti on wipe, Eyi ni isimi, ẹnyin ìba mu awọn alãrẹ simi; eyi si ni itura: sibẹ nwọn kì yio gbọ́.
12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
13 Nitorina ọ rọ Oluwa jẹ aṣẹ le aṣẹ, aṣẹ le aṣẹ fun wọn: ẹsẹ le ẹsẹ, ẹsẹ le ẹsẹ; diẹ nihin, diẹ lọhun: ki nwọn ba le lọ, ki nwọn si ṣubu sẹhin, ki nwọn si ṣẹ́, ki a si dẹ wọn, ki a si mu wọn.
13 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
14 Nitorina ẹ gbọ́ ọ rọ Oluwa, ẹnyin ẹlẹgàn, ti nṣe akoso awọn enia yi ti mbẹ ni Jerusalemu.
14 Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.
15 Nitori ẹnyin ti wipe, Awa ti ba ikú dá majẹmu, a si ti ba ipò-okú mulẹ: nigbati pàṣan gigun yio là a já, kì yio de ọdọ wa: nitori awa ti fi eké ṣe ãbo wa, ati labẹ irọ́ li awa ti fi ara wa pamọ:
15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
16 Nitorina bayi li Oluwa Jehofah wi, pe, Kiyesi i, emi gbe okuta kan kalẹ ni Sioni fun ipilẹ, okuta ti a dán wò, okuta igun-ile iyebiye, ipilẹ ti o daju: ẹniti o gbagbọ kì yio sá.
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
17 Idajọ li emi o fi le ẹsẹ pẹlu, ati ododo li emi o fi lé òṣuwọn: yinyín yio gbá ãbo eke lọ, omi o si kún bò ibi isasi mọlẹ.
17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
18 Majẹmu nyin ti ẹ ba ikú dá li a o sọ di asan, imulẹ nyin pẹlu ipò-okú kì yio duro; nigbati paṣán gigun yio rekọja; nigbana ni on o tẹ nyin mọlẹ.
18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.
19 Niwọn igbati o ba jade lọ ni yio mu nyin: nitori ni gbogbo owurọ ni yio rekọja, li ọsan ati li oru: kiki igburo rẹ yio si di ijaiyà.
19 From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.
20 Nitori akete kuru jù eyiti enia le nà ara rẹ si, ati ìbora kò ni ibò to eyi ti on le fi bò ara rẹ .
20 For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.
21 Nitori Oluwa yio dide bi ti oke Perasimu, yio si binu gẹgẹ bi ti afonifoji Gibeoni, ki o ba le ṣe iṣẹ rẹ , iṣẹ àrà rẹ ; yio si mu iṣe rẹ ṣẹ, ajeji iṣe rẹ .
21 For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.
22 Njẹ nitorina, ẹ máṣe jẹ ẹlẹgàn, ki a má ba sọ ìde nyin di lile; nitori emi ti gbọ́ iparun lati ọdọ Oluwa, Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun wá, ti o ti pinnu lori gbogbo ilẹ.
22 Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth.
23 Ẹ fetisilẹ, ẹ si gbọ́ ohùn mi: ẹ tẹtilelẹ, ẹ si gbọ́ ọ rọ mi.
23 Give ye ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech.
24 Gbogbo ọjọ ni agbẹ ha nroko lati gbìn? on o ha ma tú, a si ma fọ́ ilẹ rẹ bi?
24 Doth the plowman plow all day to sow? doth he open and break the clods of his ground?
25 Nigbati on ti tẹ́ ojú rẹ tan, on kò ha nfunrugbìn dili, ki o si fọn irugbìn kummini ka, ki o si gbìn alikama lẹsẹ-ẹsẹ, ati barle ti a yàn, ati spelti nipò rẹ ?
25 When he hath made plain the face thereof, doth he not cast abroad the fitches, and scatter the cummin, and cast in the principal wheat and the appointed barley and rie in their place?
26 Nitori Ọlọrun rẹ kọ́ ọ lati ni oye, o tilẹ kọ́ ọ.
26 For his God doth instruct him to discretion, and doth teach him.
27 Nitori a kò fi ohun-elò pakà dili, bẹ̃ni a kì iyí kẹkẹ́ kiri lori kummini; ṣugbọn ọpá li a ifi pa dili jade, ọgọ li a si fi lù kummini.
27 For the fitches are not threshed with a threshing instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned about upon the cummin; but the fitches are beaten out with a staff, and the cummin with a rod.
28 Akara agbado li a lọ ; on kò le ma pa a titi, bẹ̃ni kò fi kẹkẹ́-ẹrù fọ́ ọ, bẹ̃ni kì ifi awọn ẹlẹṣin rẹ tẹ ẹ.
28 Bread corn is bruised; because he will not ever be threshing it, nor break it with the wheel of his cart, nor bruise it with his horsemen.
29 Eyi pẹlu ti ọdọ Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun wá, ẹniti o kún fun iyanu ni ìmọ, ti o tayọ ni iṣe.
29 This also cometh forth from the LORD of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working.
