¹ Ọ̀RỌ-ìmọ niti Babiloni ti Isaiah ọmọ Amosi ri.

¹ The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see.

² Ẹ gbe ọpágun soke lori oke giga, ẹ kọ si wọn, ẹ juwọ, ki nwọn ba le lọ sinu ẹnu-odi awọn ọlọla.

² Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.

³ Emi ti paṣẹ fun awọn temi ti a yà si mimọ́, emi ti pe awọn alagbara mi pẹlu fun ibinu mi, ani awọn ti nwọn yọ̀ ninu ọlanla mi.

³ I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness.

⁴ Ariwo ọ̀pọlọpọ lori oke, gẹgẹ bi ti enia pupọ̀: ariwo rudurudu ti ijọba awọn orilẹ-ède, ti a kojọ pọ̀: Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun gbá ogun awọn ọmọ-ogun jọ.

⁴ The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle.

⁵ Nwọn ti ilẹ okerè wá, lati ipẹkun ọrun, ani, Oluwa, ati ohun-elò ibinu rẹ̀, lati pa gbogbo ilẹ run.

⁵ They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.

⁶ Ẹ hu; nitori ọjọ Oluwa kù si dẹdẹ; yio de bi iparun lati ọdọ Olodumare wá.

⁶ Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

⁷ Nitorina gbogbo ọwọ́ yio rọ, ọkàn olukuluku enia yio si di yiyọ́.

⁷ Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man's heart shall melt:

⁸ Nwọn o si bẹ̀ru: irora ati ikãnu yio dì wọn mu; nwọn o wà ni irora bi obinrin ti nrọbi: ẹnu yio yà ẹnikan si ẹnikeji rẹ̀; oju wọn yio dabi ọwọ́-iná.

⁸ And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.

⁹ Kiyesi i, ọjọ Oluwa mbọ̀ wá, o ni ibi ti on ti ikannú ati ibinu gbigboná, lati sọ ilẹ na di ahoro: yio si pa awọn ẹlẹṣẹ run kuro ninu rẹ̀.

⁹ Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

¹⁰ Nitori awọn iràwọ ọrun, ati iṣùpọ iràwọ inu rẹ̀ kì yio tàn imọlẹ wọn: õrun yio ṣu okùnkun ni ijadelọ rẹ̀, oṣùpa kì yio si mu ki imọlẹ rẹ̀ tàn.

¹⁰ For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

¹¹ Emi o si bẹ̀ ibi wò lara aiye, ati aiṣedẽde lara awọn enia buburu; emi o si mu ki igberaga awọn agberaga ki o mọ, emi o si mu igberaga awọn alagbara rẹ̀ silẹ.

¹¹ And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

¹² Emi o mu ki ọkunrin kan ṣọwọ́n ju wura lọ; ani enia kan ju wura Ofiri daradara.

¹² I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.

¹³ Nitorina emi o mu ọrun mì titi, ilẹ aiye yio si ṣipò rẹ̀ pada, ninu ibinu Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun, ati li ọjọ ibinu gbigbona rẹ̀.

¹³ Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

¹⁴ Yio si dabi abo agbọ̀nrin ti a nlepa, ati bi agutan ti ẹnikan kò gbajọ: olukuluku wọn o yipada si enia rẹ̀, olukuluku yio si sa si ilẹ rẹ̀.

¹⁴ And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up: they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own land.

¹⁵ Ẹnikẹni ti a ri li a o gun li agunyọ; ẹnikẹni ti o si dà ara rẹ̀ pọ̀ mọ́ wọn yio ti ipa idà ṣubu.

¹⁵ Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword.

¹⁶ Ọmọ wọn pẹlu li a o fọ́ tũtu loju ara wọn; a o si kó wọn ni ile, a o si fi agbara bà obinrin wọn jẹ́;

¹⁶ Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished.

¹⁷ Kiyesi i, emi o gbe awọn ara Media dide si wọn, ti ki yio ka fadakà si; bi o si ṣe ti wura, nwọn ki yio ni inu didùn si i.

¹⁷ Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it.

¹⁸ Ọrun wọn pẹlu yio fọ́ awọn ọdọmọkunrin tũtũ; nwọn ki yio ṣãnu fun ọmọ-inu: oju wọn kì yio dá ọmọde si.

¹⁸ Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare children.

¹⁹ Ati Babiloni, ogo ijọba gbogbo, ẹwà ogo Kaldea, yio dabi igbati Ọlọrun bi Sodomu on Gomorra ṣubu.

¹⁹ And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

²⁰ A kì yio tẹ̀ ẹ dó mọ, bẹ̃ni a kì yio si gbe ibẹ̀ mọ lati irandiran: bẹ̃ni awọn ara Arabia kì yio pagọ nibẹ mọ; bẹ̃ni awọn oluṣọ-agutan kì yio kọ́ agbo wọn nibẹ mọ.

²⁰ It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there.

²¹ Ṣugbọn ẹranko igbẹ yio dubulẹ nibẹ; ile wọn yio si kun fun òwiwí, abo ogòngo yio ma gbe ibẹ, ọ̀rọ̀ yio si ma jo nibẹ.

²¹ But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.

²² Awọn ọ̀wawa yio si ma ke ninu ãfin wọn, ati dragoni ninu gbọ̀ngàn wọn daradara: ìgba rẹ̀ si sunmọ etile, a kì yio si fa ọjọ rẹ̀ gùn.

²² And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.
