¹ Ẹ wi fun awọn arakunrin nyin, Ammi; ati fun awọn arabinrin nyin, Ruhama.

¹ Say ye unto your brethren, Ammi; and to your sisters, Ru-hamah.

² Ẹ ba iya nyin wijọ, ẹ wijọ; nitori on kì iṣe aya mi, bẹ̃ni emi kì iṣe ọkọ rẹ̀: nitori na jẹ ki on ki o mu gbogbo agberè rẹ̀ kuro ni iwaju rẹ̀, ati gbogbo panṣaga rẹ̀ kuro larin ọyàn rẹ̀.

² Plead with your mother, plead: for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband: let her therefore put away her whoredoms out of her sight, and her adulteries from between her breasts;

³ Ki emi má ba tú u si ihòho, emi o si gbe e kalẹ bi ọjọ ti a bi i, emi o si ṣe e bi ijù, emi o si gbe e kalẹ bi ilẹ gbigbẹ, emi o si fi ongbẹ pa a kú.

³ Lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst.

⁴ Emi kì yio si ṣãnu fun awọn ọmọ rẹ̀; nitoriti nwọn jẹ́ ọmọ agbère.

⁴ And I will not have mercy upon her children; for they be the children of whoredoms.

⁵ Nitoriti iya wọn ti hùwa agbère: ẹniti o loyun wọn ti ṣe ohun itiju: nitori ti o wipe, Emi o tun tọ̀ awọn ayànfẹ́ mi lẹhìn, ti nfun mi ni onjẹ mi ati omi mi, irun agùtan mi ati ọgbọ̀ mi, ororo mi, ati ohun mimu mi.

⁵ For their mother hath played the harlot: she that conceived them hath done shamefully: for she said, I will go after my lovers, that give me my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, mine oil and my drink.

⁶ Nitorina kiyesi i, emi o fi ẹgún sagbàra yi ọ̀na rẹ̀ ka, emi o si mọ odi, ti on kì yio fi ri ọ̀na rẹ̀ mọ.

⁶ Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and make a wall, that she shall not find her paths.

⁷ On o si lepa awọn ayànfẹ́ rẹ̀, ṣugbọn kì yio le ba wọn; on o si wá wọn, ṣugbọn kì yio ri wọn: nigbana ni yio wipe, Emi o padà tọ̀ ọkọ mi iṣãju lọ; nitoriti o sàn fun mi nigbana jù ti isisiyi lọ.

⁷ And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now.

⁸ Nitori on kò ti mọ̀ pe emi li ẹniti o fun u li ọkà, ati ọti-waini titun, ati ororo; ti mo si mu fàdakà ati wurà rẹ̀ pọ̀ si i, ti nwọn fi ṣe Baali.

⁸ For she did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, which they prepared for Baal.

⁹ Nitorina li emi o ṣe padà, emi o si mu ọkà mi kuro li akokò rẹ̀, ati ọti-waini mi ni igbà rẹ̀, emi o si gbà irun agùtan ati ọgbọ̀ mi padà, ti mo ti fi fun u lati bò ihòho rẹ̀.

⁹ Therefore will I return, and take away my corn in the time thereof, and my wine in the season thereof, and will recover my wool and my flax given to cover her nakedness.

¹⁰ Nisisiyi li emi o ṣi itiju rẹ̀ silẹ li oju awọn ayànfẹ́ rẹ̀, ẹnikẹni kì yio si gbà a lọwọ mi.

¹⁰ And now will I discover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of mine hand.

¹¹ Emi o si mu ki gbogbo ayọ̀ rẹ̀ de opin, ọjọ asè rẹ̀, oṣù titun rẹ̀, ati ọjọ isimi rẹ̀, gbogbo ọjọ ọ̀wọ rẹ̀.

¹¹ I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts.

¹² Emi o si pa ajàra rẹ̀ ati igi ọpọ̀tọ rẹ̀ run, niti awọn ti o ti wipe, Awọn wọnyi li èrè mi ti awọn ayànfẹ́ mi ti fi fun mi; emi o si sọ wọn di igbo, awọn ẹranko igbẹ yio si jẹ wọn.

¹² And I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, whereof she hath said, These are my rewards that my lovers have given me: and I will make them a forest, and the beasts of the field shall eat them.

¹³ Emi o si bẹ̀ ọjọ Baalimu wò li ara rẹ̀, ninu eyiti on fi turari joná fun wọn, ti on si fi oruka eti, ati ohun ọ̀ṣọ rẹ̀, ṣe ara rẹ̀ lọṣọ, ti on si tọ̀ awọn ayànfẹ́ lẹhìn lọ, ti on si gbagbe mi, ni Oluwa wi.

¹³ And I will visit upon her the days of Baalim, wherein she burned incense to them, and she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers, and forgat me, saith the LORD.

¹⁴ Nitorina, kiyesi i, emi o tàn a, emi o si mu u wá si aginjù, emi o si sọ̀rọ itùnu fun u.

¹⁴ Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her.

¹⁵ Emi o si fun u ni ọgbà àjara rẹ̀ lati ibẹ̀ wá, ati afonifojì Akori fun ilẹ̀kun ireti: on o si kọrin nibẹ̀, bi li ọjọ ewe rẹ̀, ati bi li ọjọ ti o jade lati ilẹ Egipti wá.

¹⁵ And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.

¹⁶ Yio si ṣe li ọjọ na, iwọ o pè mi ni Iṣi; iwọ kì yio si pè mi ni Baali mọ, ni Oluwa wi,

¹⁶ And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD, that thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali.

¹⁷ Nitori emi o mu orukọ awọn Baali kuro li ẹnu rẹ̀, a kì yio si fi orukọ wọn ranti wọn mọ́.

¹⁷ For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.

¹⁸ Li ọjọ na li emi o si fi awọn ẹranko igbẹ, ati ẹiyẹ oju ọrun, ati ohun ti nrakò lori ilẹ da majẹmu fun wọn, emi o si ṣẹ́ ọrun ati idà ati ogun kuro ninu aiye, emi o si mu wọn dubulẹ li ailewu.

¹⁸ And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely.

¹⁹ Emi o si fẹ́ ọ fun ara mi titi lai; nitõtọ, emi o si fẹ́ ọ fun ara mi ni ododo, ni idajọ, ati ni iyọ́nu, ati ni ãnu.

¹⁹ And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.

²⁰ Emi o tilẹ fẹ́ ọ fun ara mi ni otitọ, iwọ o si mọ̀ Oluwa.

²⁰ I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the LORD.

²¹ Yio si ṣe li ọjọ na, emi o dahùn, emi o dá awọn ọrun li ohùn, nwọn o si da aiye lohùn; li Oluwa wi.

²¹ And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith the LORD, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth;

²² Ilẹ yio si dá ọkà, ati ọti-waini, ati ororo, li ohùn; nwọn o si dá Jesreeli li ohùn.

²² And the earth shall hear the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hear Jezreel.

²³ Emi o si gbìn i fun ara mi lori ilẹ, emi o si ṣãnu fun ẹniti kò ti ri ãnu gbà; emi o si wi fun awọn ti kì iṣe enia mi pe, Iwọ li enia mi; on o si wipe, Iwọ li Ọlọrun mi.

²³ And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.
