1 NITORI ofin bi o ti ni ojiji awọn ohun rere ti mbọ̀ laijẹ aworan pãpã awọn nkan na, nwọn kò le fi ẹbọ kanna ti nwọn nru nigbagbogbo li ọdọ̃dún mu awọn ti nwá sibẹ̀ di pipé.

1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

2 Bikoṣe bẹ̃, a kì bá ha ti dẹkun ati mã rú wọn, nitori awọn ti nsìn kì bá tí ni ìmọ ẹ̀ṣẹ, nigbati a ba ti wẹ wọn mọ lẹ̃kanṣoṣo.

2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.

3 Ṣugbọn ninu ẹbọ wọnni ni a nṣe iranti ẹ̀ṣẹ li ọdọdún.

3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.

4 Nitori ko ṣe iṣe fun ẹ̀jẹ akọ malu ati ti ewurẹ lati mu ẹ̀ṣẹ kuro.

4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

5 Nitorina nigbati o wá si aiye, o wipe, Iwọ kò fẹ ẹbọ ati ọrẹ, ṣugbọn ara ni iwọ ti pèse fun mi:

5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

6 Ẹbọ sisun ati ẹbọ fun ẹ̀ṣẹ ni iwọ kò ni inu didùn si.

6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.

7 Nigbana ni mo wipe, Kiyesi i (ninu iwe-kiká nì li a gbé kọ ọ nipa ti emi) Mo dé lati ṣe ifẹ rẹ, Ọlọrun.

7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

8 Nigbati o wi ni iṣaju pe, Iwọ kò fẹ ẹbọ ati ọrẹ, ati ẹbọ sisun, ati ẹbọ fun ẹ̀ṣẹ, bẹ̃ni iwọ kò ni inu didun si wọn (awọn eyiti a nrú gẹgẹ bi ofin).

8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;

9 Nigbana ni o wipe, Kiyesi i, Mo dé lati ṣe ifẹ rẹ, Ọlọrun. O mu ti iṣaju kuro, ki o le fi idi ekeji mulẹ.

9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

10 Nipa ifẹ na li a ti sọ wa di mimọ́ nipa ẹbọ ti Jesu Kristi fi ara rẹ̀ rú lẹ̃kanṣoṣo.

10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

11 Ati olukuluku alufa si nduro li ojojumọ́ o nṣe ìsin, o si nṣe ẹbọ kanna nigbakugba, ti kò le mu ẹ̀ṣẹ kuro lai:

11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:

12 Ṣugbọn on, lẹhin igbati o ti ru ẹbọ kan fun ẹ̀ṣẹ titi lai, o joko li ọwọ́ ọtún Ọlọrun;

12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

13 Lati igbà na lọ, ó nreti titi a o fi fi awọn ọtá rẹ̀ ṣe apoti itisẹ rẹ̀.

13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.

14 Nitori nipa ẹbọ kan o ti mu awọn ti a sọ di mimọ́ pé titi lai.

14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

15 Ẹmí Mimọ́ si njẹri fun wa pẹlu: nitori lẹhin ti o ti wipe,

15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,

16 Eyi ni majẹmu ti emi ó ba wọn dá lẹhin ọjọ wọnni, li Oluwa wi, emi o fi ofin mi si wọn li ọkàn, inu wọn pẹlu li emi o si kọ wọn si;

16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

17 Ẹ̀ṣẹ wọn ati aiṣedede wọn li emi kì yio si ranti mọ́.

17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

18 Ṣugbọn nibiti imukuro iwọnyi ba gbé wà, irubọ fun ẹ̀ṣẹ kò si mọ́.

18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

19 Ará, njẹ bi a ti ni igboiya lati wọ̀ inu ibi mimọ́ nipasẹ ẹ̀jẹ Jesu,

19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

20 Nipa ọ̀na titun ati ãye, ti o yà si mimọ́ fun wa, ati lati kọja aṣọ ikele nì, eyini ni, ara rẹ̀;

20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

21 Ati bi a ti ni alufa giga lori ile Ọlọrun;

21 And having an high priest over the house of God;

22 Ẹ jẹ ki a fi otitọ ọkàn sunmọ tosi ni ẹ̀kún igbagbọ́, ki a si wẹ̀ ọkàn wa mọ́ kuro ninu ẹri-ọkàn buburu, ki a si fi omi mimọ́ wẹ̀ ara wa nù.

22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

23 Ẹ jẹ ki a dì ijẹwọ ireti wa mu ṣinṣin li aiṣiyemeji; (nitoripe olõtọ li ẹniti o ṣe ileri;)

23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

24 Ẹ jẹ ki a yẹ ara wa wo lati rú ara wa si ifẹ ati si iṣẹ rere:

24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

25 Ki a má mã kọ ipejọpọ̀ ara wa silẹ, gẹgẹ bi àṣa awọn ẹlomiran; ṣugbọn ki a mã gbà ara ẹni niyanju: pẹlupẹlu bi ẹnyin ti ri pe ọjọ nì nsunmọ etile.

25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

26 Nitori bi awa ba mọ̃mọ̀ dẹṣẹ lẹhin igbati awa ba ti gbà ìmọ otitọ kò tun si ẹbọ fun ẹ̀ṣẹ mọ́,

26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

27 Bikoṣe ireti idajọ ti o ba ni lẹrù, ati ti ibinu ti o muná, ti yio pa awọn ọtá run.

27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

28 Ẹnikẹni ti o ba gàn ofin Mose, o kú li aisi ãnu nipa ẹri ẹni meji tabi mẹta:

28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

29 Melomelo ni ẹ ro pe a o jẹ oluwa rẹ̀ ni ìya kikan, ẹniti o ti tẹ Ọmọ Ọlọrun mọlẹ ti o si ti kà ẹ̀jẹ̀ majẹmu ti a fi sọ ọ di mimọ́ si ohun aimọ́, ti o si ti kẹgan Ẹmí ore-ọfẹ.

29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

30 Nitori awa mọ̀ ẹniti o wipe, Ẹsan ni ti emi, Oluwa wipe, Emi o gbẹsan. Ati pẹlu, Oluwa yio ṣe idajọ awọn enia rẹ̀.

30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

31 Ohun ẹ̀ru ni lati ṣubu si ọwọ́ Ọlọrun alãye.

31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

32 Ṣugbọn ẹ ranti ọjọ iṣaju, ninu eyiti, nigbati a ti ṣí nyin loju, ẹ fi ara da wahala ijiya nla;

32 But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;

33 Lapakan, nigbati a sọ nyin di iran wiwo nipa ẹ̀gan ati ipọnju; ati lapakan, nigbati ẹnyin di ẹgbẹ awọn ti a ṣe bẹ̃ si.

33 Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.

34 Nitori ẹnyin bá awọn ti o wà ninu ìde kẹdun, ẹ si fi ayọ̀ gbà ìkolọ ẹrù nyin, nitori ẹnyin mọ̀ ninu ara nyin pe, ẹ ni ọrọ̀ ti o wà titi, ti o si dara ju bẹ̃ lọ li ọ̀run.

34 For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.

35 Nitorina ẹ máṣe gbe igboiya nyin sọnu, eyiti o ni ère nla.

35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.

36 Nitori ẹnyin kò le ṣe alaini sũru, nitori igbati ẹnyin ba ti ṣe ifẹ Ọlọrun tan, ki ẹnyin ki o le gbà ileri na.

36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

37 Nitori niwọn igba diẹ si i, Ẹni nã ti mbọ̀ yio de, kì yio si jafara.

37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

38 Ṣugbọn olododo ni yio yè nipa igbagbọ́: ṣugbọn bi o ba fà sẹhin, ọkàn mi kò ni inu didùn si i.

38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

39 Ṣugbọn awa kò si ninu awọn ti nfà sẹhin sinu egbé; bikoṣe ninu awọn ti o gbagbọ́ si igbala ọkàn.

39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
