¹ Now after these things, in the reign of Artaxerxes king of Persia, Ezra the son of Seraiah, the son of Azariah, the son of Hilkiah,

² The son of Shallum, the son of Zadok, the son of Ahitub,

³ Ọmọ Amariah, ọmọ Asariah, ọmọ Meraiotu,

³ The son of Amariah, the son of Azariah, the son of Meraioth,

⁴ Ọmọ Serahiah, ọmọ Ussi, ọmọ Bukki,

⁴ The son of Zerahiah, the son of Uzzi, the son of Bukki,

⁵ Ọmọ Abiṣua, ọmọ Finehasi, ọmọ Eleasari, ọmọ Aaroni olori alufa:

⁵ The son of Abishua, the son of Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the chief priest:

⁶ Esra yi li o gòke lati Babiloni wá; o si jẹ ayáwọ́-akọwe ninu ofin Mose, ti Oluwa Ọlọrun Israeli fi fun ni: ọba si fun u li ohun gbogbo ti o bère, gẹgẹ bi ọwọ Oluwa Ọlọrun rẹ̀ ti wà lara rẹ̀.

⁶ This Ezra went up from Babylon; and he was a ready scribe in the law of Moses, which the LORD God of Israel had given: and the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the LORD his God upon him.

⁷ Ati ninu awọn ọmọ Israeli, ati ninu awọn alufa, ati awọn ọmọ Lefi, ati awọn akọrin, ati awọn adèna, pẹlu awọn Netinimu si goke wá si Jerusalemu li ọdun keje Artasasta ọba.

⁷ And there went up some of the children of Israel, and of the priests, and the Levites, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nethinims, unto Jerusalem, in the seventh year of Artaxerxes the king.

⁸ And he came to Jerusalem in the fifth month, which was in the seventh year of the king.

⁹ Nitoripe lati ọjọ kini oṣu ekini li o bẹrẹ si igòke lati Babiloni wá, ati li ọjọ ikini oṣu karun li o de Jerusalemu, gẹgẹ bi ọwọ rere Ọlọrun rẹ̀ ti o wà lara rẹ̀.

⁹ For upon the first day of the first month began he to go up from Babylon, and on the first day of the fifth month came he to Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God upon him.

¹⁰ Nitori Esra ti mura tan li ọkàn rẹ̀ lati ma wá ofin Oluwa, ati lati ṣe e, ati lati ma kọ́ni li ofin ati idajọ ni Israeli.

¹⁰ For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.

¹¹ Eyi si ni atunkọ iwe na ti Artasasta ọba fi fun Esra alufa, akọwe, ani akọwe ọ̀rọ ofin Oluwa, ati ti aṣẹ rẹ̀ fun Israeli.

¹¹ Now this is the copy of the letter that the king Artaxerxes gave unto Ezra the priest, the scribe, even a scribe of the words of the commandments of the LORD, and of his statutes to Israel.

¹² Artasasta, ọba awọn ọba, si Esra alufa, akọwe pipé ti ofin Ọlọrun ọrun, alafia:

¹² Artaxerxes, king of kings, unto Ezra the priest, a scribe of the law of the God of heaven, perfect peace, and at such a time.

¹³ Mo paṣẹ pe, ki gbogbo enia ninu awọn enia Israeli, ati ninu awọn alufa rẹ̀ ati awọn ọmọ Lefi, ninu ijọba mi, ẹniti o ba fẹ nipa ifẹ inu ara wọn lati gòkẹ lọ si Jerusalemu, ki nwọn ma ba ọ lọ.

¹³ I make a decree, that all they of the people of Israel, and of his priests and Levites, in my realm, which are minded of their own freewill to go up to Jerusalem, go with thee.

¹⁴ Niwọn bi a ti rán ọ lọ lati iwaju ọba lọ ati ti awọn ìgbimọ rẹ̀ mejeje, lati wadi ọ̀ran ti Juda ati Jerusalemu gẹgẹ bi ofin Ọlọrun rẹ ti mbẹ li ọwọ rẹ;

¹⁴ Forasmuch as thou art sent of the king, and of his seven counsellers, to inquire concerning Judah and Jerusalem, according to the law of thy God which is in thine hand;

¹⁵ Ati lati ko fàdaka ati wura, ti ọba ati awọn ìgbimọ fi tinutinu fi fun Ọlọrun Israeli, ibugbe ẹniti o wà ni Jerusalemu.

¹⁵ And to carry the silver and gold, which the king and his counsellers have freely offered unto the God of Israel, whose habitation is in Jerusalem,

¹⁶ And all the silver and gold that thou canst find in all the province of Babylon, with the freewill offering of the people, and of the priests, offering willingly for the house of their God which is in Jerusalem:

¹⁷ Ki iwọ ki o le fi owo yi rà li aijafara, akọmalu, àgbo, ọdọ-agutan, ati ọrẹ ohun jijẹ wọn ati ọrẹ ohun mimu wọn, ki o si fi wọn rubọ li ori pẹpẹ ile Ọlọrun nyin ti o wà ni Jerusalemu.

¹⁷ That thou mayest buy speedily with this money bullocks, rams, lambs, with their meat offerings and their drink offerings, and offer them upon the altar of the house of your God which is in Jerusalem.

¹⁸ Ati ohunkohun ti o ba wu ọ, ati awọn arakunrin rẹ lati fi fàdaka ati wura iyokù ṣe, eyini ni ki ẹnyin ki o ṣe gẹgẹ bi ifẹ Ọlọrun nyin.

¹⁸ And whatsoever shall seem good to thee, and to thy brethren, to do with the rest of the silver and the gold, that do after the will of your God.

¹⁹ Ohun-èlo wọnni ti a fi fun ọ pẹlu fun ìsin ile Ọlọrun rẹ, ni ki iwọ ki o fi lelẹ niwaju Ọlọrun ni Jerusalemu.

¹⁹ The vessels also that are given thee for the service of the house of thy God, those deliver thou before the God of Jerusalem.

²⁰ Ati ohunkohun ti a ba fẹ pẹlu fun ile Ọlọrun rẹ, ti iwọ o ri àye lati nawo rẹ̀, nawo rẹ̀ lati inu ile iṣura ọba wá.

²⁰ And whatsoever more shall be needful for the house of thy God, which thou shalt have occasion to bestow, bestow it out of the king's treasure house.

²¹ Ati emi, ani Artasasta ọba paṣẹ fun gbogbo awọn olutọju iṣura, ti o wà li oke odò pe, ohunkohun ti Esra alufa, ti iṣe akọwe ofin Ọlọrun ọrun yio bère lọwọ nyin, ki a ṣe e li aijafara,

²¹ And I, even I Artaxerxes the king, do make a decree to all the treasurers which are beyond the river, that whatsoever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, it be done speedily,

²² Titi de ọgọrun talenti fàdaka, ati de ọgọrun oṣuwọn alikama, ati de ọgọrun bati ọti-waini, ati de ọgọrun bati ororo, ati iyọ laini iye.

²² Unto an hundred talents of silver, and to an hundred measures of wheat, and to an hundred baths of wine, and to an hundred baths of oil, and salt without prescribing how much.

²³ Ohunkohun ti Ọlọrun ọrun palaṣẹ, ki a fi otitọ ṣe e fun ile Ọlọrun ọrun: ki ibinu ki o má de si ijọba ọba, ati awọn ọmọ rẹ̀.

²³ Whatsoever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be diligently done for the house of the God of heaven: for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?

²⁴ Pẹlupẹlu ki ẹnyin ki o mọ̀ dajudaju pe, ẹnyin kò ni oyè lati di owo-ori, owo-odè, ati owo-bodè ru gbogbo awọn alufa, ati awọn ọmọ Lefi, awọn akọrin, awọn adèna, awọn Netinimu, ati awọn iranṣẹ ninu ile Ọlọrun yi,

²⁴ Also we certify you, that touching any of the priests and Levites, singers, porters, Nethinims, or ministers of this house of God, it shall not be lawful to impose toll, tribute, or custom, upon them.

²⁵ Ati iwọ, Esra, gẹgẹ bi ọgbọ́n Ọlọrun rẹ ti o wà li ọwọ rẹ, yan awọn oloyè ati onidajọ, ti nwọn o ma da ẹjọ fun gbogbo awọn enia ti o wà li oke-odò, gbogbo iru awọn ti o mọ̀ ofin Ọlọrun rẹ, ki ẹnyin ki o si ma kọ́ awọn ti kò mọ̀ wọn.

²⁵ And thou, Ezra, after the wisdom of thy God, that is in thine hand, set magistrates and judges, which may judge all the people that are beyond the river, all such as know the laws of thy God; and teach ye them that know them not.

²⁶ Ẹnikẹni ti kì o si ṣe ofin Ọlọrun rẹ, ati ofin ọba, ki a mu idajọ ṣe si i lara li aijafara, bi o ṣe si ikú ni, tabi lilé si oko, tabi kiko li ẹrù, tabi si sisọ sinu tubu.

²⁶ And whosoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be unto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.

²⁷ Olubukun li Oluwa Ọlọrun awọn baba wa, ti o fi nkan bi iru eyi si ọkàn ọba, lati ṣe ogo si ile Oluwa ti o wà ni Jerusalemu:

²⁷ Blessed be the LORD God of our fathers, which hath put such a thing as this in the king's heart, to beautify the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem:

²⁸ Ti o si nàwọ anu si mi niwaju ọba ati awọn ìgbimọ rẹ̀, ati niwaju gbogbo awọn alagbara ijoye ọba: mo si ri iranlọwọ gbà gẹgẹ bi ọwọ Oluwa Ọlọrun mi ti o wà lara mi, mo si ko awọn olori awọn enia jọ lati inu Israeli jade, lati ba mi goke lọ.

²⁸ And hath extended mercy unto me before the king, and his counsellers, and before all the king's mighty princes. And I was strengthened as the hand of the LORD my God was upon me, and I gathered together out of Israel chief men to go up with me.
