1 O si ṣe ni ọdun keje ni oṣu karun, ni ọjọ kẹwa oṣu, ti awọn kan ninu awọn àgba Israeli wá ibere lọwọ Oluwa, nwọn si joko niwaju mi.

1 And it came to pass in the seventh year, in the fifth month, the tenth day of the month, that certain of the elders of Israel came to inquire of the LORD, and sat before me.

2 Nigbana ni ọ̀rọ Oluwa tọ̀ mi wá, wipe,

2 Then came the word of the LORD unto me, saying,

3 Ọmọ enia, sọ fun awọn àgba Israeli, si wi fun wọn pe, Bayi ni Oluwa Ọlọrun wi: Lati bere lọwọ mi ni ẹ ṣe wá? Oluwa Ọlọrun wipe, Bi mo ti wà, lọwọ mi kọ́ ẹnyin o bere.

3 Son of man, speak unto the elders of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Are ye come to inquire of me? As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be inquired of by you.

4 Iwọ o ha dá wọn lẹjọ bi, ọmọ enia, iwọ o ha da wọn lẹjọ? jẹ ki wọn mọ̀ ohun-irira baba wọn.

4 Wilt thou judge them, son of man, wilt thou judge them? cause them to know the abominations of their fathers:

5 Si wi fun wọn pe, Bayi ni Oluwa Ọlọrun wi; Ni ọjọ na nigbati mo yàn Israeli, ti mo si gbe ọwọ́ mi soke si iru-ọmọ ile Jakobu, ti mo si sọ ara mi di mimọ̀ fun wọn ni ilẹ Egipti, nigbati mo gbe ọwọ́ mi soke si wọn, wipe, Emi ni Oluwa Ọlọrun nyin:

5 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day when I chose Israel, and lifted up mine hand unto the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known unto them in the land of Egypt, when I lifted up mine hand unto them, saying, I am the LORD your God;

6 Ni ọjọ ti mo gbe ọwọ́ mi soke si wọn, lati mu wọn jade lati ilẹ Egipti si ilẹ ti mo ti wò silẹ fun wọn, ti nṣàn fun wàra ati fun oyin, ti iṣe ogo gbogbo ilẹ.

6 In the day that I lifted up mine hand unto them, to bring them forth of the land of Egypt into a land that I had espied for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands:

7 Mo si wi fun wọn pe, Ki olukuluku ninu nyin gbe irira oju rẹ̀ junù, ẹ má si ṣe fi oriṣa Egipti sọ ara nyin di aimọ́: emi ni Oluwa Ọlọrun nyin.

7 Then said I unto them, Cast ye away every man the abominations of his eyes, and defile not yourselves with the idols of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

8 Ṣugbọn nwọn ṣọ̀tẹ si mi, nwọn kò si fẹ fi eti si mi: olukuluku wọn kò gbe ohun-irira oju wọn junù, bẹ̃ni nwọn kò kọ oriṣa Egipti silẹ: nigbana ni mo wipe, emi o da irúnu mi si wọn lori, lati pari ibinu mi si wọn lãrin ilẹ Egipti.

8 But they rebelled against me, and would not hearken unto me: they did not every man cast away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt: then I said, I will pour out my fury upon them to accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.

9 Ṣugbọn mo ṣiṣẹ nitori orukọ mi; ki o má bà bajẹ niwaju awọn keferi, lãrin ẹniti nwọn wà, loju ẹniti mo sọ ara mi di mimọ̀ fun wọn, ni mimu wọn jade kuro ni ilẹ Egipti.

9 But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, among whom they were, in whose sight I made myself known unto them, in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.

10 Mo si jẹ ki wọn lọ kuro ni ilẹ Egipti, mo si mu wọn wá si aginju.

10 Wherefore I caused them to go forth out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness.

11 Mo si fi aṣẹ mi fun wọn, mo si fi idajọ mi hàn wọn, eyiti bi enia kan ba ṣe, yio tilẹ yè ninu wọn.

11 And I gave them my statutes, and shewed them my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them.

12 Pẹlupẹlu mo si fun wọn ni ọjọ isimi mi, lati ṣe àmi lãrin t'emi ti wọn, ki nwọn ki o le mọ̀ pe emi ni Oluwa ti o yà wọn si mimọ́.

12 Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them.

13 Ṣugbọn ile Israeli ṣọ̀tẹ si mi ni aginjù: nwọn kò rìn ni aṣẹ mi, nwọn si gàn idajọ mi, eyiti bi enia kan ba ṣe, on o tilẹ yè ninu wọn; ati ọjọ isimi mi ni wọn tilẹ bajẹ gidigidi: nigbana ni mo wipe, emi o dà irúnu mi si wọn lori li aginju, lati pa wọn run.

13 But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.

14 Ṣugbọn mo ṣiṣẹ nitori orukọ mi, ki o má ba di ibajẹ niwaju awọn keferi, loju ẹniti mo mu wọn jade.

14 But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, in whose sight I brought them out.

15 Pẹlupẹlu mo gbe ọwọ́ mi soke si wọn ni aginju pe emi kò ni mu wọn de ilẹ ti mo ti fi fun wọn, ti nṣàn fun wàra ati fun oyin, ti iṣe ogo gbogbo ilẹ;

15 Yet also I lifted up my hand unto them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands;

16 Nitoriti nwọn gàn idajọ mi, nwọn kò si rìn ninu aṣẹ mi, ṣugbọn nwọn bà ọjọ isimi mi jẹ: nitoripe ọkàn wọn tẹ̀le oriṣa wọn.

16 Because they despised my judgments, and walked not in my statutes, but polluted my sabbaths: for their heart went after their idols.

17 Ṣugbọn oju mi dá wọn si ki emi má ba pa wọn, bẹ̃ni emi kò ṣe wọn li aṣetan ni aginju.

17 Nevertheless mine eye spared them from destroying them, neither did I make an end of them in the wilderness.

18 Ṣugbọn mo sọ fun awọn ọmọ wọn li aginju pe, Ẹ máṣe rìn ninu aṣẹ baba nyin, ẹ má si ṣe kiyesi idajọ wọn, ẹ má si fi oriṣa wọn sọ ara nyin di aimọ́:

18 But I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols:

19 Emi ni Oluwa Ọlọrun nyin: ẹ rìn ninu aṣẹ mi, ẹ si pa idajọ mi mọ, ẹ si ṣe wọn;

19 I am the LORD your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them;

20 Ẹ si bọ̀wọ fun ọjọ isimi mi; nwọn o si jẹ àmi lãrin t'emi ti nyin, ki ẹnyin ki o le mọ̀ pe emi ni Oluwa Ọlọrun nyin.

20 And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God.

21 Ṣugbọn awọn ọmọ na ṣọ̀tẹ si mi: nwọn kò rìn ninu aṣẹ mi, bẹ̃ni nwọn kò pa idajọ mi mọ lati ṣe wọn, eyiti bi enia kan ba ṣe, yio tilẹ yè ninu wọn; nwọn bà ọjọ isimi mi jẹ: mo si wipe, Emi o da irúnu mi sori wọn, lati pari ibinu mi sori wọn li aginju.

21 Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.

22 Ṣugbọn mo fà ọwọ́ mi sẹhìn, mo si ṣiṣẹ nitori orukọ mi, ki o má bà di ibajẹ li oju awọn keferi, loju ẹniti mo mu wọn jade.

22 Nevertheless I withdrew mine hand, and wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted in the sight of the heathen, in whose sight I brought them forth.

23 Mo gbe ọwọ́ mi soke si wọn pẹlu li aginju, lati tú wọn ka lãrin awọn keferi, ati lati fọ́n wọn ká ilẹ gbogbo;

23 I lifted up mine hand unto them also in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countries;

24 Nitoripe nwọn kò mu idajọ mi ṣẹ, ṣugbọn nwọn kẹgàn aṣẹ mi, nwọn si ti bà ọjọ isimi mi jẹ, oju wọn si wà lara oriṣa baba wọn.

24 Because they had not executed my judgments, but had despised my statutes, and had polluted my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers' idols.

25 Nitorina mo fun wọn ni aṣẹ pẹlu ti kò dara, ati idajọ nipa eyiti wọn kì yio fi le yè;

25 Wherefore I gave them also statutes that were not good, and judgments whereby they should not live;

26 Emi si bà wọn jẹ́ ninu ẹ̀bun ara wọn, nitipe nwọn mu gbogbo awọn akọbi kọja lãrin iná, ki emi ba le sọ wọn di ahoro, ki nwọn le bà mọ̀ pe emi ni Oluwa.

26 And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that openeth the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am the LORD.

27 Nitorina, ọmọ enia, sọ fun ile Israeli, si wi fun wọn pe, Bayi ni Oluwa Ọlọrun wi; Ninu eyi pẹlu baba nyin ti sọ̀rọ odi si mi, nitipe nwọn ti dẹṣẹ si mi.

27 Therefore, son of man, speak unto the house of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Yet in this your fathers have blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me.

28 Nitori nigbati mo ti mu wọn de ilẹ, niti eyiti mo gbé ọwọ́ mi soke lati fi i fun wọn, nigbana ni nwọn ri olukuluku oke giga, ati gbogbo igi bibò, nwọn si ru ẹbọ wọn nibẹ, nwọn si gbe imunibinu ọrẹ wọn kalẹ nibẹ: nibẹ pẹlu ni nwọn ṣe õrun didùn wọn, nwọn si ta ohun-ọrẹ mimu silẹ nibẹ.

28 For when I had brought them into the land, for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to them, then they saw every high hill, and all the thick trees, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering: there also they made their sweet savour, and poured out there their drink offerings.

29 Nigbana ni mo wi fun wọn pe, Kini ibi giga ti ẹnyin nlọ na? Orukọ rẹ̀ ni a si npe ni Bama titi o fi di oni oloni.

29 Then I said unto them, What is the high place whereunto ye go? And the name thereof is called Bamah unto this day.

30 Si wi fun ile Israeli pe, Bayi ni Oluwa Ọlọrun wi; A bà nyin jẹ́ gẹgẹ bi baba nyin? ẹnyin si ṣe agbère gẹgẹ bi ohun-irira wọn?

30 Wherefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Are ye polluted after the manner of your fathers? and commit ye whoredom after their abominations?

31 Nitori nigbati ẹnyin nta ọrẹ nyin, nigbati ẹnyin mu ọmọ nyin kọja lãrin iná, ẹnyin fi oriṣa nyin bà ara nyin jẹ́, ani titi o fi di oni oloni: ẹnyin o ha si bere lọwọ mi, Iwọ ile Israeli? Bi mo ti wà, ni Oluwa Ọlọrun wi, lọwọ mi kọ́ ẹnyin o bere.

31 For when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons to pass through the fire, ye pollute yourselves with all your idols, even unto this day: and shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be inquired of by you.

32 Eyiti o si wá si iye nyin kì yio wà rara; ti ẹnyin wipe, Awa o wà bi awọn keferi, gẹgẹ bi idile awọn orilẹ-ède lati bọ igi ati okuta.

32 And that which cometh into your mind shall not be at all, that ye say, We will be as the heathen, as the families of the countries, to serve wood and stone.

33 Bi mo ti wà, ni Oluwa Ọlọrun wi, nitõtọ nipa agbara ọwọ́, ati ninà apa, pẹlu irúnu ti a dà jade li emi o fi jọba lori nyin:

33 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you:

34 Emi o si mu nyin jade kuro lãrin awọn enia, emi o si ṣà nyin jọ lati ilẹ ti a ti tú nyin ka si, pẹlu ọwọ́ agbara, ati ninà apa, ati pẹlu irúnu ti a dà jade.

34 And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out.

35 Emi o si mu nyin wá si aginju awọn enia, nibẹ ni emi o si bá nyin rojọ lojukoju.

35 And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face.

36 Gẹgẹ bi mo ti dá awọn baba nyin lẹjọ li aginju ilẹ Egipti, bẹ̃ni emi o bá nyin rojọ, ni Oluwa Ọlọrun wi.

36 Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord GOD.

37 Emi o si mu nyin kọja labẹ ọpá, emi o si mu nyin wá si ìde majẹmu:

37 And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant:

38 Emi o si ṣà awọn ọlọ̀tẹ kuro lãrin nyin, ati awọn olurekọja, emi o mu wọn jade kuro ni ilẹ ti wọn gbe ṣe atipo, nwọn kì yio si wọ ilẹ Israeli: ẹnyin o si mọ̀ pe emi ni Oluwa.

38 And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

39 Bi o ṣe ti nyin, ile Israeli, Bayi ni Oluwa Ọlọrun wi, Ẹ lọ, olukuluku sìn oriṣa rẹ̀, ati lẹhin eyi pẹlu, bi ẹnyin kì yio ba fi eti si mi: ṣugbọn ẹ máṣe fi ẹ̀bun nyin ati oriṣa nyin bà orukọ mimọ́ mi jẹ́ mọ.

39 As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord GOD; Go ye, serve ye every one his idols, and hereafter also, if ye will not hearken unto me: but pollute ye my holy name no more with your gifts, and with your idols.

40 Nitori lori oke mimọ́ mi, lori oke giga Israeli, ni Oluwa Ọlọrun wi, nibẹ ni gbogbo ile Israeli, gbogbo wọn ni ilẹ na, yio sìn mi: nibẹ ni emi o gbà wọn, nibẹ ni emi o si bere ẹbọ nyin, ati ọrẹ akọso nyin, pẹlu ohun mimọ́ nyin.

40 For in mine holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, serve me: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the firstfruits of your oblations, with all your holy things.

41 Emi o gbà nyin pẹlu õrùn didùn nyin, nigbati mo mu nyin jade kuro lãrin awọn enia, ti mo si ko nyin jọ lati ilẹ gbogbo nibiti a gbe ti tú nyin ká si; a o si yà mi si mimọ́ ninu nyin niwaju awọn keferi.

41 I will accept you with your sweet savour, when I bring you out from the people, and gather you out of the countries wherein ye have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you before the heathen.

42 Ẹnyin o si mọ̀ pe emi ni Oluwa, nigbati emi o mu nyin de ilẹ Israeli, si ilẹ niti eyiti o gbe ọwọ́ mi soke lati fi fun awọn baba nyin.

42 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to your fathers.

43 Nibẹ li ẹnyin o ranti ọ̀na nyin, ati gbogbo iṣe nyin, ninu eyiti a ti bà nyin jẹ; ẹ o si sú ara nyin loju ara nyin nitori gbogbo buburu ti ẹnyin ti ṣe.

43 And there shall ye remember your ways, and all your doings, wherein ye have been defiled; and ye shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that ye have committed.

44 Ẹnyin o si mọ̀ pe emi ni Oluwa, nigbati emi ti ṣiṣẹ pẹlu nyin nitori orukọ mi, ki iṣe gẹgẹ bi ọ̀na buburu nyin, tabi gẹgẹ bi iṣe bibajẹ nyin, ẹnyin ile Israeli, ni Oluwa Ọlọrun wi.

44 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have wrought with you for my name's sake, not according to your wicked ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, O ye house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.

45 Ọ̀rọ Oluwa si tọ̀ mi wá, wipe,

45 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

46 Ọmọ enia, kọju rẹ siha gusù, si sọ ọ̀rọ rẹ siha gusù, si sọtẹlẹ si igbó oko gusù;

46 Son of man, set thy face toward the south, and drop thy word toward the south, and prophesy against the forest of the south field;

47 Si wi fun igbó gusù pe, Gbọ́ ọ̀rọ Oluwa; bayi ni Oluwa Ọlọrun wi; Kiyesi i, emi o da iná kan ninu rẹ, yio si jo olukuluku igi tutù ninu rẹ, ati olukuluku igi gbigbẹ: jijo ọwọ́ iná na ni a kì yio pa, ati gbogbo oju lati gusu de ariwa ni a o sun ninu rẹ̀.

47 And say to the forest of the south, Hear the word of the LORD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burned therein.

48 Gbogbo ẹran-ara ni yio si ri i pe emi Oluwa li o ti da a, a kì yio pa a.

48 And all flesh shall see that I the LORD have kindled it: it shall not be quenched.

49 Nigbana ni mo wipe, A! Oluwa Ọlọrun, nwọn wi niti emi pe, Owe ki o npa yi?

49 Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! they say of me, Doth he not speak parables?
