1 And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.

2 Farao si wipe, Tali OLUWA, ti emi o fi gbà ohùn rẹ̀ gbọ́ lati jẹ ki Israeli ki o lọ? Emi kò mọ̀ OLUWA na, bẹ̃li emi ki yio jẹ ki Israeli ki o lọ.

2 And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.

3 Nwọn si wipe, Ọlọrun awọn Heberu li o pade wa: awa bẹ̀ ọ, jẹ ki a lọ ni ìrin ijọ́ mẹta si ijù, ki a si rubọ si OLUWA Ọlọrun wa; ki o má ba fi ajakalẹ-àrun tabi idà kọlù wa.

3 And they said, The God of the Hebrews hath met with us: let us go, we pray thee, three days' journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto the LORD our God; lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword.

4 Ọba Egipti si wi fun wọn pe, Mose ati Aaroni, nitori kili ẹnyin ṣe dá awọn enia duro ninu iṣẹ wọn? ẹ lọ si iṣẹ nyin.

4 And the king of Egypt said unto them, Wherefore do ye, Moses and Aaron, let the people from their works? get you unto your burdens.

5 Farao si wipe, Kiyesi i awọn enia ilẹ yi pọ̀ju nisisiyi, ẹnyin si mu wọn simi kuro ninu iṣẹ wọn.

5 And Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now are many, and ye make them rest from their burdens.

6 Farao si paṣẹ li ọjọ́ na fun awọn akoniṣiṣẹ awọn enia, ati fun awọn olori wọn wipe,

6 And Pharaoh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the people, and their officers, saying,

7 Ẹnyin kò gbọdọ fun awọn enia na ni koriko mọ́ lati ma ṣe briki, bi ìgba atẹhinwá: jẹ ki nwọn ki o ma lọ ṣà koriko fun ara wọn.

7 Ye shall no more give the people straw to make brick, as heretofore: let them go and gather straw for themselves.

8 Ati iye briki ti nwọn ti ima ṣe ni ìgba atẹhinwá, on ni ki ẹnyin bù fun wọn; ẹnyin kò gbọdọ ṣẹ nkan kù kuro nibẹ̀: nitoriti nwọn nṣe imẹlẹ; nitorina ni nwọn ṣe nke wipe, Jẹ ki a lọ rubọ si Ọlorun wa.

8 And the tale of the bricks, which they did make heretofore, ye shall lay upon them; ye shall not diminish ought thereof: for they be idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our God.

9 Ẹ jẹ ki iṣẹ ki o wuwo fun awọn ọkunrin na, ki nwọn ki o le ma ṣe lãlã ninu rẹ̀; ẹ má si ṣe jẹ ki nwọn ki o fiyesi ọ̀rọ eke.

9 Let there more work be laid upon the men, that they may labour therein; and let them not regard vain words.

10 Awọn akoniṣiṣẹ enia na si jade, ati awọn olori wọn, nwọn si sọ fun awọn enia na, pe, Bayi ni Farao wipe, Emi ki yio fun nyin ni koriko mọ́.

10 And the taskmasters of the people went out, and their officers, and they spake to the people, saying, Thus saith Pharaoh, I will not give you straw.

11 Ẹ lọ, ẹ wá koriko nibiti ẹnyin gbé le ri i: ṣugbọn a ki yio ṣẹ nkan kù ninu iṣẹ nyin.

11 Go ye, get you straw where ye can find it: yet not ought of your work shall be diminished.

12 Bẹ̃li awọn enia na si tuka kiri ká gbogbo ilẹ Egipti lati ma ṣà idi koriko ni ipò koriko.

12 So the people were scattered abroad throughout all the land of Egypt to gather stubble instead of straw.

13 Awọn akoniṣiṣẹ lé wọn ni ire wipe, Ẹ ṣe iṣẹ nyin pé, iṣẹ ojojumọ́ nyin, bi igbati koriko mbẹ.

13 And the taskmasters hasted them, saying, Fulfil your works, your daily tasks, as when there was straw.

14 Ati awọn olori awọn ọmọ Israeli, ti awọn akoniṣiṣẹ Farao yàn lé wọn, li a nlù, ti a si mbilère pe, Ẽṣe ti ẹnyin kò ṣe iṣẹ nyin pé ni briki ṣiṣe li ana ati li oni, bi ìgba atẹhinwá?

14 And the officers of the children of Israel, which Pharaoh's taskmasters had set over them, were beaten, and demanded, Wherefore have ye not fulfilled your task in making brick both yesterday and to day, as heretofore?

15 Nigbana li awọn olori awọn ọmọ Israeli wá, nwọn si ke tọ̀ Farao wipe, Ẽṣe ti iwọ fi nṣe awọn iranṣẹ rẹ bayi?

15 Then the officers of the children of Israel came and cried unto Pharaoh, saying, Wherefore dealest thou thus with thy servants?

16 A kò fi koriko fun awọn iranṣẹ rẹ, nwọn si nwi fun wa pe, Ẹ ṣe briki: si kiyesi i, a nlù awọn iranṣẹ rẹ; ṣugbọn lọwọ awọn enia rẹ li ẹbi wà.

16 There is no straw given unto thy servants, and they say to us, Make brick: and, behold, thy servants are beaten; but the fault is in thine own people.

17 Ṣugbọn on wipe, Ẹnyin ọlẹ, ẹnyin ọlẹ: nitorina li ẹ ṣe wipe, Jẹ ki a lọ ṣẹbọ si OLUWA.

17 But he said, Ye are idle, ye are idle: therefore ye say, Let us go and do sacrifice to the LORD.

18 Njẹ ẹ lọ nisisiyi, ẹ ṣiṣẹ; a ki yio sá fi koriko fun nyin, sibẹ̀ iye briki nyin yio pé.

18 Go therefore now, and work; for there shall no straw be given you, yet shall ye deliver the tale of bricks.

19 Awọn olori awọn ọmọ Israeli si ri pe, ọ̀ran wọn kò li oju, lẹhin igbati a wipe, Ẹ ki o dinkù ninu iye briki nyin ojojumọ́.

19 And the officers of the children of Israel did see that they were in evil case, after it was said, Ye shall not minish ought from your bricks of your daily task.

20 Nwọn si bá Mose on Aaroni, ẹniti o duro lati pade wọn bi nwọn ti nti ọdọ Farao jade wá:

20 And they met Moses and Aaron, who stood in the way, as they came forth from Pharaoh:

21 Nwọn si wi fun wọn pe, Ki OLUWA ki o wò nyin, ki o si ṣe idajọ; nitoriti ẹnyin mu wa di okú-õrùn li oju Farao, ati li oju awọn iranṣẹ rẹ̀, lati fi idá lé wọn lọwọ lati pa wa.

21 And they said unto them, The LORD look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us.

22 Mose si pada tọ̀ OLUWA lọ, o si wi fun u pe, OLUWA, ẽtiṣe ti o fi ṣe buburu si awọn enia yi bẹ̃? ẽtiṣe ti o fi rán mi?

22 And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Lord, wherefore hast thou so evil entreated this people? why is it that thou hast sent me?

23 Nitori igbati mo ti tọ̀ Farao wá lati sọ̀rọ li orukọ rẹ, buburu li o ti nṣe si awọn enia yi; bẹ̃ni ni gbigbà iwọ kò si gbà awọn enia rẹ.

23 For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all.
