1 OLUWA si wi fun Mose pe, Dide, gòke lati ihin lọ, iwọ ati awọn enia na ti iwọ mú gòke lati ilẹ Egipti wá, si ilẹ ti mo ti bura fun Abrahamu, fun Isaaki, ati fun Jakobu, wipe, Irú-ọmọ rẹ li emi o fi i fun:

1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Depart, and go up hence, thou and the people which thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land which I sware unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it:

2 Emi o si rán angeli kan si iwaju rẹ; emi o si lé awọn ara Kenaani, awọn ara Amori, ati awọn ara Hitti, ati awọn ara Perissi, ati awọn ara Hifi, ati awọn ara Jebusi jade:

2 And I will send an angel before thee; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite:

3 Si ilẹ ti nṣàn fun warà ati fun oyin; emi ki yio sa gòke lọ lãrin rẹ; nitori ọlọrùn lile ni iwọ: ki emi ki o má ba run ọ li ọ̀na.

3 Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou art a stiffnecked people: lest I consume thee in the way.

4 Nigbati awọn enia na si gbọ́ ihin buburu yi, nwọn kãnu: enia kan kò si wọ̀ ohun ọṣọ́ rẹ̀.

4 And when the people heard these evil tidings, they mourned: and no man did put on him his ornaments.

5 OLUWA si ti wi fun Mose pe, Wi fun awọn ọmọ Israeli pe, ọlọ́rùn lile ni nyin: bi emi ba gòke wá sãrin rẹ ni iṣẹju kan, emi o si run ọ: njẹ nisisiyi bọ́ ohun ọṣọ́ rẹ kuro lara rẹ, ki emi ki o le mọ̀ ohun ti emi o fi ọ ṣe.

5 For the LORD had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee.

6 Awọn ọmọ Israeli si bọ́ ohun ọṣọ́ wọn kuro lara wọn leti oke Horebu.

6 And the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by the mount Horeb.

7 Mose si mú agọ́ na, o si pa a lẹhin ibudó, li òkere rére si ibudó; o pè e ni Agọ́ ajọ. O si ṣe, olukuluku ẹniti mbère OLUWA o jade lọ si agọ́ ajọ, ti o wà lẹhin ibudó.

7 And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. And it came to pass, that every one which sought the LORD went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp.

8 O si ṣe, nigbati Mose jade lọ si ibi agọ́ na, gbogbo awọn enia a si dide duro, olukuluku a si duro li ẹnu-ọ̀na agọ́ rẹ̀, a ma wò ẹhin Mose, titi yio fi dé ibi agọ́ na.

8 And it came to pass, when Moses went out unto the tabernacle, that all the people rose up, and stood every man at his tent door, and looked after Moses, until he was gone into the tabernacle.

9 O si ṣe, bi Mose ti dé ibi agọ́ na, ọwọ̀n awọsanma sọkalẹ, o si duro li ẹnu-ọ̀na agọ́ na: OLUWA si bá Mose sọ̀rọ.

9 And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD talked with Moses.

10 And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door.

11 OLUWA si bá Mose sọ̀rọ li ojukoju, bi enia ti ibá ọ̀rẹ́ rẹ̀ sọ̀rọ. O si tun pada lọ si ibudó: ṣugbọn Joṣua iranṣẹ rẹ̀, ọmọ Nuni, ọdọmọkunrin kan, kò lọ kuro ninu agọ́ na.

11 And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.

12 Mose si wi fun OLUWA pe, Wò o, iwọ wi fun mi pe, Mú awọn enia wọnyi gòke lọ: sibẹ̀ iwọ kò jẹ ki emi ki o mọ̀ ẹniti iwọ o rán pẹlu mi. Ṣugbọn iwọ wipe, Emi mọ̀ ọ li orukọ, iwọ si ri ore-ọfẹ li oju mi pẹlu.

12 And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.

13 Njẹ nisisiyi, emi bẹ̀ ọ, bi mo ba ri ore-ọfẹ li oju rẹ, fi ọ̀na rẹ hàn mi nisisiyi, ki emi ki o le mọ̀ ọ, ki emi ki o le ri ore-ọfẹ li oju rẹ: ki o si rò pe orilẹ-ède yi enia rẹ ni.

13 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.

14 On si wipe, Oju mi yio ma bá ọ lọ, emi o si fun ọ ni isimi.

14 And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

15 On si wi fun u pe, Bi oju rẹ kò ba bá wa lọ, máṣe mú wa gòke lati ihin lọ.

15 And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.

16 Nipa ewo li a o fi mọ̀ nihinyi pe, emi ri ore-ọfẹ li oju rẹ, ani emi ati awọn enia rẹ? ki iha iṣe ni ti pe iwọ mbá wa lọ ni, bẹ̃ni a o si yà wa sọ̀tọ, emi ati awọn enia rẹ, kuro lara gbogbo enia ti o wà lori ilẹ?

16 For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.

17 OLUWA si wi fun Mose pe, Emi o ṣe ohun yi ti iwọ sọ pẹlu: nitoriti iwọ ri ore-ọfẹ li oju mi, emi si mọ̀ ọ li orukọ.

17 And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.

18 O si wi fun u pe, Emi bẹ̀ ọ, fi ogo rẹ̀ hàn mi.

18 And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.

19 On si wi fun u pe, Emi o mu gbogbo ore mi kọja niwaju rẹ, emi o si pè orukọ OLUWA niwaju rẹ; emi o si ṣe ore-ọfẹ fun ẹniti emi nfẹ ṣe ore-ọfẹ fun, emi o si ṣe ãnu fun ẹniti emi o ṣe ãnu fun.

19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.

20 On si wipe, Iwọ kò le ri oju mi: nitoriti kò sí enia kan ti iri mi, ti si yè.

20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.

21 OLUWA si wipe, Wò, ibi kan wà lẹba ọdọ mi, iwọ o si duro lori apata:

21 And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:

22 Yio si ṣe, nigbati ogo mi ba nrekọja, emi o fi ọ sinu palapala apata, emi o si fi ọwọ́ mi bò ọ titi emi o fi rekọja:

22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:

23 Nigbati emi o mú ọwọ́ mi kuro, iwọ o si ri akẹhinsi mi: ṣugbọn oju mi li a ki iri.

23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.
