Ecclesiastes 4 - Listen Online
Read Ecclesiastes 4
1 BẸ̃NI mo pada, mo si rò inilara gbogbo ti a nṣe labẹ õrùn; mo si wò omije awọn ti a nnilara, nwọn kò si ni olutunu; ati lọwọ aninilara wọn ni ipá wà; ṣugbọn nwọn kò ni olutunu.
1 So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter.
2 Nitorina mo yìn okú ti o ti kú pẹ jù awọn alãye ti o wà lãye sibẹ.
2 Wherefore I praised the dead which are already dead more than the living which are yet alive.
3 Nitõtọ, ẹniti kò ti isi san jù awọn mejeji; ẹniti kò ti iri iṣẹ buburu ti a nṣe labẹ õrùn.
3 Yea, better is he than both they, which hath not yet been, who hath not seen the evil work that is done under the sun.
4 Ati pẹlu, mo rò gbogbo lãla ati ìmọ iṣẹ gbogbo, pe eyiyi ni ilara ẹnikini lati ọdọ ẹnikeji rẹ̀. Asan li eyi pẹlu ati imulẹmofo.
4 Again, I considered all travail, and every right work, that for this a man is envied of his neighbour. This is also vanity and vexation of spirit.
5 Aṣiwère fọwọ rẹ̀ lọwọ, o si njẹ ẹran-ara rẹ̀.
5 The fool foldeth his hands together, and eateth his own flesh.
6 Onjẹ ikunwọ kan pẹlu idakẹjẹ, o san jù ikunwọ meji lọ ti o kun fun lãla ati imulẹmofo.
6 Better is an handful with quietness, than both the hands full with travail and vexation of spirit.
7 Nigbana ni mo pada, mo si ri asan labẹ õrun.
7 Then I returned, and I saw vanity under the sun.
8 Ẹnikan ṣoṣo wà, kò si ni ẹnikeji; nitõtọ kò li ọmọ, bẹ̃ni kò li arakunrin: sibẹ kò si opin ninu lãla rẹ̀ gbogbo; bẹ̃li ọrọ̀ kò tẹ oju rẹ̀ lọrun: bẹ̃ni kò si wipe, Nitori tali emi nṣe lãla, ti mo si nfi ire dù ọkàn mi? Eyi pẹlu asan ni ati iṣẹ òṣi.
8 There is one alone, and there is not a second; yea, he hath neither child nor brother: yet is there no end of all his labour; neither is his eye satisfied with riches; neither saith he, For whom do I labour, and bereave my soul of good? This is also vanity, yea, it is a sore travail.
9 Ẹni meji san jù ẹnikan; nitori nwọn ni ère rere fun lãla wọn.
9 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
10 Nitoripe bi nwọn ba ṣubu, ẹnikini yio gbe ọ̀gba rẹ̀ dide: ṣugbọn egbe ni fun ẹniti o ṣe on nikan nigbati o ba ṣubu; ti kò li ẹlomiran ti yio gbé e dide.
10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.
11 Ati pẹlu, bi ẹni meji ba dubulẹ pọ̀, nigbana ni nwọn o mõru: ṣugbọn ẹnikan yio ha ti ṣe mõru?
11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?
12 Bi ẹnikan ba kọlu ẹnikan, ẹni meji yio kò o loju; ati okùn onikọ mẹta kì iyá fàja.
12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
13 Otoṣi ipẹ̃rẹ ti o ṣe ọlọgbọ́n, o san jù arugbo ati aṣiwère ọba lọ ti kò mọ̀ bi a ti igbà ìmọran.
13 Better is a poor and a wise child than an old and foolish king, who will no more be admonished.
14 Nitoripe lati inu tubu li o ti jade wá ijọba; bi a tilẹ ti bi i ni talaka ni ijọba rẹ̀.
14 For out of prison he cometh to reign; whereas also he that is born in his kingdom becometh poor.
15 Mo ri gbogbo alãye ti nrìn labẹ õrun, pẹlu ipẹ̃rẹ ekeji ti yio dide duro ni ipò rẹ̀.
15 I considered all the living which walk under the sun, with the second child that shall stand up in his stead.
16 Kò si opin gbogbo awọn enia na, ani fun gbogbo awọn ti on wà ṣiwaju wọn: awọn pẹlu ti mbọ̀ lẹhin kì yio yọ̀ si i. Nitõtọ asan li eyi pẹlu ati imulẹmofo.
16 There is no end of all the people, even of all that have been before them: they also that come after shall not rejoice in him. Surely this also is vanity and vexation of spirit.
