¹ PẸLUPẸLU li ọdun kini Dariusi ara Media, emi pãpa duro lati mu u lọkàn le, ati lati fi idi rẹ̀ kalẹ.

¹ Also I in the first year of Darius the Mede, even I, stood to confirm and to strengthen him.

² Njẹ nisisiyi li emi o fi otitọ hàn ọ, Kiyesi i, ọba mẹta pẹlu ni yio dide ni Persia; ẹkẹrin yio si ṣe ọlọrọ̀ jù gbogbo wọn lọ: ati nipa agbara rẹ̀ ni yio fi fi ọrọ̀ rú gbogbo wọn soke si ijọba Hellene.

² And now will I shew thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than they all: and by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Grecia.

³ Ọba alagbara kan yio si dide, yio si fi agbara nla ṣe akoso, yio si ma ṣe gẹgẹ bi ifẹ inu rẹ̀.

³ And a mighty king shall stand up, that shall rule with great dominion, and do according to his will.

⁴ Nigbati on ba dide tan, ijọba rẹ̀ yio fọ́, a o si pin i si orígun mẹrẹrin ọrun; kì si iṣe fun ọmọ rẹ̀, pẹlupẹlu kì si iṣe ninu agbara rẹ̀ ti on fi jọba, nitoriti a o fa ijọba rẹ̀ tu, ani fun ẹlomiran lẹhin awọn wọnyi.

⁴ And when he shall stand up, his kingdom shall be broken, and shall be divided toward the four winds of heaven; and not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion which he ruled: for his kingdom shall be plucked up, even for others beside those.

⁵ Ọba iha gusu yio si lagbara; ṣugbọn ọkan ninu awọn balogun rẹ̀, on o si lagbara jù u lọ, yio si jọba, ijọba rẹ̀ yio jẹ ijọba nla.

⁵ And the king of the south shall be strong, and one of his princes; and he shall be strong above him, and have dominion; his dominion shall be a great dominion.

⁶ Lẹhin ọdun pipọ nwọn o si kó ara wọn jọ pọ̀; ọmọbinrin ọba gusu yio wá sọdọ ọba ariwa, lati ba a dá majẹmu: ṣugbọn on kì yio le di agbara apá na mu; bẹ̃ni on kì yio le duro, tabi apá rẹ̀: ṣugbọn a o fi on silẹ, ati awọn ti o mu u wá, ati ẹni ti o bi i, ati ẹniti nmu u lọkàn le li akokò ti o kọja.

⁶ And in the end of years they shall join themselves together; for the king's daughter of the south shall come to the king of the north to make an agreement: but she shall not retain the power of the arm; neither shall he stand, nor his arm: but she shall be given up, and they that brought her, and he that begat her, and he that strengthened her in these times.

⁷ Ṣugbọn ninu ẹka gbòngbo rẹ̀ li ẹnikan yio dide ni ipò rẹ̀, ẹniti yio wá pẹlu ogun, yio si wọ̀ ilu-olodi ọba ariwa, yio si ba wọn ṣe, yio si bori.

⁷ But out of a branch of her roots shall one stand up in his estate, which shall come with an army, and shall enter into the fortress of the king of the north, and shall deal against them, and shall prevail:

⁸ On o si kó oriṣa wọn pẹlu ere didà wọn, ati ohunelo wọn daradara, ti fadaka, ati ti wura ni igbekun lọ si Egipti; on o si duro li ọdun melokan kuro lọdọ ọba ariwa.

⁸ And shall also carry captives into Egypt their gods, with their princes, and with their precious vessels of silver and of gold; and he shall continue more years than the king of the north.

⁹ On o si lọ si ijọba ọba gusu, ṣugbọn yio yipada si ilẹ ontikararẹ̀.

⁹ So the king of the south shall come into his kingdom, and shall return into his own land.

¹⁰ Ṣugbọn awọn ọmọ rẹ̀ yio ru soke, nwọn o si gbá ogun nla ọ̀pọlọpọ enia jọ; ẹnikan yio wọle wá, yio si bolẹ̀, yio si kọja lọ. Nigbana ni yio pada yio si gbé ogun lọ si ilu olodi rẹ̀.

¹⁰ But his sons shall be stirred up, and shall assemble a multitude of great forces: and one shall certainly come, and overflow, and pass through: then shall he return, and be stirred up, even to his fortress.

¹¹ Ọba gusu yio si fi ibinu ru soke, yio si jade wá ba a jà, ani, ọba ariwa na: on o si kó enia pipọ jọ; ṣugbọn a o fi ọ̀pọlọpọ na le e lọwọ.

¹¹ And the king of the south shall be moved with choler, and shall come forth and fight with him, even with the king of the north: and he shall set forth a great multitude; but the multitude shall be given into his hand.

¹² Yio si kó ọ̀pọlọpọ na lọ, ọkàn rẹ̀ yio si gbé soke; on o si bì ọ̀pọlọpọ ẹgbãrun enia ṣubu; ṣugbọn a kì yio fi ẹsẹ rẹ̀ mulẹ nipa eyi.

¹² And when he hath taken away the multitude, his heart shall be lifted up; and he shall cast down many ten thousands: but he shall not be strengthened by it.

¹³ Nitoripe ọba ariwa yio si yipada, yio si kó ọ̀pọlọpọ enia jọ ti yio pọ̀ jù ti iṣaju lọ, yio si wá lẹhin ọdun melokan pẹlu ogun nla, ati ọ̀pọlọpọ ọrọ̀.

¹³ For the king of the north shall return, and shall set forth a multitude greater than the former, and shall certainly come after certain years with a great army and with much riches.

¹⁴ Li akoko wọnni li ọ̀pọlọpọ yio si dide si ọba gusu; awọn ọlọ̀tẹ ninu awọn enia rẹ̀ yio si gbé ara wọn ga lati fi ẹsẹ iran na mulẹ pẹlu: ṣugbọn nwọn o ṣubu.

¹⁴ And in those times there shall many stand up against the king of the south: also the robbers of thy people shall exalt themselves to establish the vision; but they shall fall.

¹⁵ Bẹ̃li ọba ariwa yio si wá, yio si mọdi, yio si gbà ilu olodi; apá ogun ọba gusu kì yio le duro, ati awọn ayanfẹ enia rẹ̀, bẹ̃ni kì yio si agbara lati da a duro.

¹⁵ So the king of the north shall come, and cast up a mount, and take the most fenced cities: and the arms of the south shall not withstand, neither his chosen people, neither shall there be any strength to withstand.

¹⁶ Ṣugbọn ẹniti o tọ̀ ọ wá yio mã ṣe gẹgẹ bi ifẹ inu ara rẹ̀, kì yio si si ẹniti yio duro niwaju rẹ̀; on o si duro ni ilẹ daradara nì, ti yio si fi ọwọ rẹ̀ parun.

¹⁶ But he that cometh against him shall do according to his own will, and none shall stand before him: and he shall stand in the glorious land, which by his hand shall be consumed.

¹⁷ On o si gbé oju rẹ̀ soke lati wọ̀ ọ nipa agbara gbogbo ijọba rẹ̀, yio si ba a dá majẹmu, bẹ̃ni yio ṣe; on o si fi ọmọbinrin awọn obinrin fun u, lati bà a jẹ: ṣugbọn on kì yio duro, bẹ̃ni kì yio si ṣe tirẹ̀.

¹⁷ He shall also set his face to enter with the strength of his whole kingdom, and upright ones with him; thus shall he do: and he shall give him the daughter of women, corrupting her: but she shall not stand on his side, neither be for him.

¹⁸ Lẹhin eyi, yio kọ oju rẹ̀ si erekuṣu wọnni, yio si gbà ọ̀pọlọpọ: ṣugbọn balogun kan fun ara rẹ̀, yio fi opin si ẹ̀gan rẹ̀: ati nipò eyi, yio mu ẹ̀gan rẹ̀ pada wá sori ara rẹ̀.

¹⁸ After this shall he turn his face unto the isles, and shall take many: but a prince for his own behalf shall cause the reproach offered by him to cease; without his own reproach he shall cause it to turn upon him.

¹⁹ Nigbana ni yio si yi oju rẹ̀ pada si ilu olodi ontikararẹ̀: ṣugbọn yio kọsẹ, yio si ṣubu, a kì yio si ri i mọ.

¹⁹ Then he shall turn his face toward the fort of his own land: but he shall stumble and fall, and not be found.

²⁰ Nigbana ni ẹnikan yio dide ni ipò rẹ̀ ti yio mu agbowode kan rekọja ninu ogo ijọba (ilẹ Juda): ṣugbọn niwọn ijọ melokan li a o si pa a run, kì yio ṣe nipa ibinu tabi loju ogun.

²⁰ Then shall stand up in his estate a raiser of taxes in the glory of the kingdom: but within few days he shall be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle.

²¹ Ni ipò rẹ̀ li enia lasan kan yio dide, ẹniti nwọn kì yio fi ọlá ọba fun: ṣugbọn yio wá lojiji, yio si fi arekereke gbà ijọba.

²¹ And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.

²² Ogun ti mbò ni mọlẹ li a o fi bò wọn mọlẹ niwaju rẹ̀, a o si fọ ọ tũtu, ati pẹlu ọmọ-alade majẹmu kan.

²² And with the arms of a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant.

²³ Ati lẹhin igbati a ba ti ba a ṣe ipinnu tan, yio fi ẹ̀tan ṣiṣẹ: yio si gòke lọ, yio si fi enia diẹ bori.

²³ And after the league made with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a small people.

²⁴ Yio si wọ̀ gbogbo ibi igberiko ọlọra; yio si ṣe ohun ti awọn baba rẹ̀ kò ṣe ri, tabi awọn baba nla rẹ̀; yio si fọn ikogun, ìfa, ati ọ̀pọlọpọ ọrọ̀ ká si ãrin wọn: yio si gbèro tẹlẹ si ilu olodi, ani titi akokò kan.

²⁴ He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time.

²⁵ Yio si rú agbara ati igboya rẹ̀ soke si ọba gusu ti on ti ogun nla; a o si rú ọba gusu soke si ija pẹlu ogun nlanla ati alagbara pupọ; ṣugbọn on kì yio le duro: nitori nwọn o gba èro tẹlẹ si i.

²⁵ And he shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great army; and the king of the south shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand: for they shall forecast devices against him.

²⁶ Awọn ẹniti o jẹ ninu adidùn rẹ̀ ni yio si pa a run, ogun rẹ̀ yio si tàn kalẹ; ọ̀pọlọpọ ni yio si ṣubu ni pipa.

²⁶ Yea, they that feed of the portion of his meat shall destroy him, and his army shall overflow: and many shall fall down slain.

²⁷ Ọkàn awọn ọba mejeji wọnyi ni yio wà lati ṣe buburu, nwọn o si mã sọ̀rọ eké lori tabili kan, ṣugbọn kì yio jẹ rere; nitoripe opin yio wà li akokò ti a pinnu.

²⁷ And both these kings' hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper: for yet the end shall be at the time appointed.

²⁸ Nigbana ni yio pada lọ si ilẹ ontikararẹ̀ ti on ti ọrọ̀ pupọ: ọkàn rẹ̀ yio si lodi si majẹmu mimọ́ nì, yio ṣe e, yio si pada lọ si ilẹ ontikararẹ̀.

²⁸ Then shall he return into his land with great riches; and his heart shall be against the holy covenant; and he shall do exploits, and return to his own land.

²⁹ Yio si pada wá li akokò ti a pinnu, yio si wá si iha gusu; ṣugbọn kì yio ri bi ti iṣaju, ni ikẹhin.

²⁹ At the time appointed he shall return, and come toward the south; but it shall not be as the former, or as the latter.

³⁰ Nitoripe ọkọ̀ awọn ara Kittimu yio tọ̀ ọ wá, nitorina ni yio ṣe dãmu, yio si yipada, yio si ni ibinu si majẹmu mimọ́ nì; bẹ̃ni yio ṣe; ani on o yipada, yio si tun ni idapọ pẹlu awọn ti o kọ̀ majẹmu mimọ́ na silẹ.

³⁰ For the ships of Chittim shall come against him: therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant.

³¹ Agbara ogun yio si duro li apa tirẹ̀, nwọn o si sọ ibi mimọ́, ani ilu olodi na di aimọ́, nwọn o si mu ẹbọ ojojumọ kuro, nwọn o si gbé irira isọdahoro nì kalẹ.

³¹ And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

³² Ati iru awọn ti nṣe buburu si majẹmu nì ni yio fi ọ̀rọ ipọnni mu ṣọ̀tẹ: ṣugbọn awọn enia ti o mọ̀ Ọlọrun yio mu ọkàn le, nwọn o si ma ṣe iṣẹ agbara.

³² And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

³³ Awọn ti o moye ninu awọn enia yio ma kọ́ ọ̀pọlọpọ: ṣugbọn nwọn o ma ti ipa oju idà ṣubu, ati nipa iná, ati nipa igbekun, ati nipa ikogun nijọmelo kan.

³³ And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days.

³⁴ Njẹ nisisiyi, nigbati nwọn o ṣubu, a o fi iranlọwọ diẹ ràn wọn lọwọ: ṣugbọn ọ̀pọlọpọ ni yio fi ẹ̀tan fi ara mọ́ wọn.

³⁴ Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.

³⁵ Awọn ẹlomiran ninu awọn ti o moye yio si ṣubu, lati dan wọn wò, ati lati wẹ̀ wọn mọ́, ati lati sọ wọn di funfun, ani titi fi di akokò opin: nitoripe yio wà li akokò ti a pinnu.

³⁵ And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.

³⁶ Ọba na yio si ma ṣe gẹgẹ bi ifẹ inu rẹ̀; on o si gbé ara rẹ̀ ga, yio si gbéra rẹ̀ ga jù gbogbo ọlọrun lọ, yio si ma sọ̀rọ ohun iyanu si Ọlọrun awọn ọlọrun, yio si ma ṣe rere titi a o fi pari ibinu: nitori a o mu eyi ti a ti pinnu rẹ̀ ṣẹ.

³⁶ And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.

³⁷ Bẹ̃li on kì yio si kà Ọlọrun awọn baba rẹ̀ si, tabi ifẹ awọn obinrin, on kì yio si kà ọlọrun kan si: nitoriti yio gbé ara rẹ̀ ga jù ẹni gbogbo lọ.

³⁷ Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.

³⁸ Ṣugbọn ni ipò rẹ̀, yio ma bu ọlá fun ọlọrun awọn ilu olodi, ani ọlọrun kan ti awọn baba rẹ̀ kò mọ̀ ri ni yio ma fi wura, ati fadaka, ati okuta iyebiye, ati ohun daradara bu ọlá fun.

³⁸ But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.

³⁹ Bẹ̃ gẹgẹ ni yio ṣe ninu ilu olodi wọnni ti o lagbara julọ nipa iranlọwọ ọlọrun ajeji, ẹniti o jẹ́wọ rẹ̀ ni yio fi ogo fun, ti yio si mu ṣe alakoso ọ̀pọlọpọ, yio si pín ilẹ fun li ère.

³⁹ Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.

⁴⁰ Li akokò opin, ọba gusu yio kàn a, ọba ariwa yio si fi kẹkẹ́, ati ẹlẹṣin, ati ọ̀pọlọpọ ọkọ̀, kọ lu u bi afẹyika-ìji: on o si wọ̀ ilẹ wọnni yio si bò wọn mọlẹ, yio si rekọja.

⁴⁰ And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.

⁴¹ Yio si wọ̀ ilẹ ologo nì pẹlu, ọ̀pọlọpọ li a o si bì ṣubu: ṣugbọn awọn wọnyi ni yio si bọ lọwọ rẹ̀, ani Edomu, ati Moabu, ati olori awọn ọmọ Ammoni.

⁴¹ He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.

⁴² On o si nà ọwọ rẹ̀ jade si ilẹ wọnni pẹlu, ilẹ Egipti kì yio si là a.

⁴² He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.

⁴³ Ṣugbọn on o lagbara lori iṣura wura, ati ti fadaka, ati lori gbogbo ohun daradara ni ilẹ Egipti: ati awọn ara Libia, awọn ara Etiopia yio si wà lẹhin rẹ̀.

⁴³ But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.

⁴⁴ Ṣugbọn ìhin lati ila-õrùn, ati lati iwọ-õrùn wá yio dãmu rẹ̀: nitorina ni yio ṣe fi ìbinu nla jade lọ lati ma parun, ati lati mu ọ̀pọlọpọ kuro patapata.

⁴⁴ But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.

⁴⁵ On o si pagọ ãfin rẹ̀ lãrin omi kọju si òke mimọ́ ologo nì; ṣugbọn on o si de opin rẹ̀, kì yio si si ẹniti yio ràn a lọwọ.

⁴⁵ And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.
