¹ Ọ̀RỌ Amosi, ẹniti o wà ninu awọn darandaran Tekoa, ti o ri niti Israeli li ọjọ ọba Ussiah ọba Juda, ati li ọjọ Jeroboamu ọmọ Joaṣi ọba Israeli, ọdun meji ṣãju isẹ̀lẹ nì.

¹ The words of Amos, who was among the herdman of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.

² O si wipe, Oluwa yio bu jade lati Sioni wá, yio si fọ̀ ohùn rẹ̀ lati Jerusalemu wá; ibùgbe awọn olùṣọ-agùtan yio si ṣọ̀fọ, oke Karmeli yio si rọ.

² And he said, The LORD will roar from Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the habitations of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall wither.

³ Bayi li Oluwa wi; nitori irekọja mẹta ti Damasku, ati nitori mẹrin, emi kì o yi iyà rẹ̀ kuro; nitori nwọn ti fi ohunèlo irin ipakà pa Gileadi:

³ Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron:

⁴ Ṣugbọn emi o rán iná kan si ile Hasaeli, ti yio jo ãfin Benhadadi wọnni run.

⁴ But I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, which shall devour the palaces of Ben-hadad.

⁵ Emi o ṣẹ ọpá idabu Damasku pẹlu, emi o si ke ará pẹ̀tẹlẹ Afeni kuro, ati ẹniti o dì ọpá alade nì mu kuro ni ile Edeni: awọn enia Siria yio si lọ si igbèkun si Kiri, ni Oluwa wi.

⁵ I will break also the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from the plain of Aven, and him that holdeth the sceptre from the house of Eden: and the people of Syria shall go into captivity unto Kir, saith the LORD.

⁶ Bayi li Oluwa wi; nitori irekọja mẹta ti Gasa, ati nitori mẹrin, emi kì o yi iyà rẹ̀ kuro; nitori nwọn ti kó gbogbo igbèkun ni igbèkun lọ, lati fi wọn le Edomu lọwọ.

⁶ Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they carried away captive the whole captivity, to deliver them up to Edom:

⁷ Ṣugbọn emi o rán iná kan sara odi Gasa, ti yio jo ãfin rẹ̀ wọnni run:

⁷ But I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, which shall devour the palaces thereof:

⁸ Emi o si ke ara Aṣdodi kuro, ati ẹniti o di ọpá alade mu kuro ni Aṣkeloni, emi o si yi ọwọ́ mi si Ekroni; iyokù ninu awọn ara Filistia yio ṣegbe, li Oluwa Ọlọrun wi.

⁸ And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holdeth the sceptre from Ashkelon, and I will turn mine hand against Ekron: and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, saith the Lord GOD.

⁹ Bayi li Oluwa wi; nitori irekọja mẹta ti Tire, ati nitori mẹrin: emi kì o yi iyà rẹ̀ kuro; nitori nwọn fi gbogbo igbèkun le Edomu lọwọ, nwọn kò si ranti majẹmu arakunrin.

⁹ Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Tyrus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant:

¹⁰ Ṣugbọn emi o rán iná kan sara odi Tire, ti yio jo ãfin rẹ̀ wọnni run.

¹⁰ But I will send a fire on the wall of Tyrus, which shall devour the palaces thereof.

¹¹ Bayi li Oluwa wi; nitori irekọja mẹta ti Edomu, ati nitori mẹrin, emi kì o yi iyà rẹ̀ kuro; nitori o fi idà lepa arakunrin rẹ̀, o si gbe gbogbo ãnu sọnù; ibinu rẹ̀ si nfaniya titi, o si pa ibinu rẹ̀ mọ titi lai.

¹¹ Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever:

¹² Ṣugbọn emi o rán iná kan si Temani, ti yio jó afin Bosra wọnni run.

¹² But I will send a fire upon Teman, which shall devour the palaces of Bozrah.

¹³ Bayi li Oluwa wi; nitori irekọja mẹta ti awọn ọmọ Ammoni, ati nitori mẹrin, emi kì o yi iyà rẹ̀ kuro; nitori nwọn ti là inu awọn aboyun Gileadi, ki nwọn le ba mu agbègbe wọn tobi:

¹³ Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border:

¹⁴ Ṣugbọn emi o da iná kan ninu odi Rabba, yio si jó ãfin rẹ̀ wọnni run, pẹlu iho ayọ̀ li ọjọ ogun, pẹlu ijì li ọjọ ãjà:

¹⁴ But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind:

¹⁵ Ọba wọn o si lọ si igbèkun, on ati awọn ọmọ-alade rẹ̀ pọ̀, li Oluwa wi.

¹⁵ And their king shall go into captivity, he and his princes together, saith the LORD.
