1 BI nwọn si ti mba awọn enia sọrọ, awọn alufa ati olori ẹṣọ́ tẹmpili ati awọn Sadusi dide si wọn.

1 And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,

2 Inu bi wọn, nitoriti nwọn nkọ́ awọn enia, nwọn si nwasu ajinde kuro ninu okú ninu Jesu.

2 Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

3 Nwọn si nawọ́ mu wọn, nwọn si há wọn mọ́ ile tubu titi o fi di ijọ keji: nitoriti alẹ lẹ tan.

3 And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.

4 Ṣugbọn ọ̀pọ awọn ti o gbọ́ ọ̀rọ na gbagbọ́; iye awọn ọkunrin na si to ẹgbẹ̃dọgbọn.

4 Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

5 O si ṣe nijọ keji, awọn olori wọn ati awọn alagba ati awọn akọwe, pejọ si Jerusalemu,

5 And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes,

6 Ati Anna olori alufa, ati Kaiafa, ati Johanu, ati Aleksanderu, ati iye awọn ti iṣe ibatan olori alufa.

6 And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.

7 Nigbati nwọn si mu wọn duro li ãrin, nwọn bère pe, Agbara tabi orukọ wo li ẹnyin fi ṣe eyi?

7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

8 Nigbana ni Peteru kún fun Ẹmí Mimọ́, o si wi fun wọn pe, Ẹnyin olori awọn enia, ati ẹnyin àgbagbà.

8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

9 Bi o ba ṣe pe a nwadi wa loni niti iṣẹ rere ti a ṣe lara abirùn na, bi a ti ṣe mu ọkunrin yi laradá;

9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

10 Ki eyi ki o yé gbogbo nyin ati gbogbo enia Israeli pe, li orukọ Jesu Kristi ti Nasareti, ti ẹnyin kàn mọ agbelebu, ti Ọlọrun gbé dide kuro ninu okú, nipa rẹ̀ li ọkunrin yi fi duro niwaju nyin ni dida ara ṣaṣa.

10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

11 Eyi li okuta ti a ti ọwọ́ ẹnyin ọmọle kọ̀ silẹ, ti o si di pàtaki igun ile.

11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

12 Kò si si igbala lọdọ ẹlomiran: nitori kò si orukọ miran labẹ ọrun ti a fifunni ninu enia, nipa eyiti a le fi gbà wa là.

12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

13 Nigbati nwọn si kiyesi igboiya Peteru on Johanu, ti nwọn si mọ̀ pe, alaikẹkọ ati òpe enia ni nwọn, ẹnu yà wọn; nwọn si woye wọn pe, nwọn a ti ma ba Jesu gbé.

13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

14 Nigbati nwọn si nwò ọkunrin na ti a mu larada, ti o ba wọn duro, nwọn kò ri nkan wi si i.

14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

15 Ṣugbọn nigbati nwọn si paṣẹ pe ki nwọn jade kuro ni igbimọ, nwọn ba ara wọn gbèro,

15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,

16 Wipe, Kili a o ti ṣe awọn ọkunrin wọnyi? ti pe iṣẹ àmi ti o daju ti ọwọ́ wọn ṣe, o hàn gbangba fun gbogbo awọn ti ngbé Jerusalemu; awa kò si le sẹ́ ẹ.

16 Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.

17 Ṣugbọn ki o má bà tàn kalẹ siwaju mọ́ lãrin awọn enia, ẹ jẹ ki a kìlọ fun wọn pe, lati isisiyi lọ ki nwọn ki o máṣe fi orukọ yi sọ̀rọ fun ẹnikẹni mọ́.

17 But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.

18 Nigbati nwọn si pè wọn, nwọn paṣẹ fun wọn, ki nwọn máṣe sọ̀rọ rara, bẹni ki nwọn máṣe kọ́ni li orukọ Jesu mọ́.

18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

19 Ṣugbọn Peteru on Johanu dahùn, nwọn si wi fun wọn pe, Bi o ba tọ́ li oju Ọlọrun lati gbọ́ ti nyin jù ti Ọlọrun lọ, ẹ gbà a rò,

19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.

20 Awa kò sá le ṣaima sọ ohun ti awa ti ri, ti a si ti gbọ́.

20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

21 Nigbati nwọn si kìlọ fun wọn si i, nwọn jọwọ wọn lọwọ lọ, nigbati nwọn kò ti ri nkan ti nwọn iba fi jẹ wọn ni ìya, nitori awọn enia: nitori gbogbo wọn ni nyìn Ọlọrun logo fun ohun ti a ṣe.

21 So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.

22 Nitori ọkunrin na jù ẹni-ogoji ọdún lọ, lara ẹniti a ṣe iṣẹ àmi dida ara yi.

22 For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed.

23 Nigbati nwọn si jọwọ wọn lọwọ lọ, nwọn lọ sọdọ awọn ẹgbẹ wọn, nwọn si ròhin ohun gbogbo ti awọn olori alufa ati awọn agbàgba sọ fun wọn.

23 And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.

24 Nigbati nwọn si gbọ́, nwọn fi ọkàn kan gbé ohùn wọn soke si Ọlọrun nwọn si wipe, Oluwa, ìwọ ti o da ọrun on aiye, ati okun, ati ohun gbogbo ti mbẹ ninu wọn:

24 And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:

25 Iwọ nipa Ẹmi Mimọ́ ti o ti ẹnu Dafidi baba wa iranṣẹ rẹ wipe, Ẽṣe ti awọn keferi fi mbinu, ati ti awọn enia ngbero ohun asan?

25 Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?

26 Awọn ọba aiye dide, ati awọn ijoye kó ara wọn jọ si Oluwa, ati si Kristi rẹ̀;

26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.

27 Nitõtọ sá ni, si Jesu Ọmọ mimọ́ rẹ, ẹniti iwọ ti fi oróro yàn, ati Herodu, ati Pontiu Pilatu, pẹlu awọn keferi, ati awọn enia Israeli pejọ si,

27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,

28 Lati ṣe ohunkohun ti ọwọ́ rẹ ati imọ rẹ ti pinnu ṣaju pe yio ṣẹ.

28 For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

29 Njẹ nisisiyi, Oluwa, kiyesi ikilọ wọn: ki o si fifun awọn ọmọ-ọdọ rẹ lati mã fi igboiya gbogbo sọ ọ̀rọ rẹ.

29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

30 Ki iwọ si fi ninà ọwọ́ rẹ ṣe dida ara, ati ki iṣẹ àmi ati iṣẹ iyanu ki o mã ṣe li orukọ Jesu Ọmọ mimọ́ rẹ.

30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

31 Nigbati nwọn gbadura tan, ibi ti nwọn gbé pejọ si mi titi; gbogbo wọn si kún fun Ẹmí Mimọ́, nwọn si nfi igboiya sọ ọ̀rọ Ọlọrun.

31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

32 Ijọ awọn ti o gbagbọ́ si wà li ọkàn kan ati inu kan: kò si si ẹnikan ti o pè ohun kan ninu ohun ini rẹ̀ ni ti ara rẹ̀: ṣugbọn gbogbo nwọn ni gbogbo nkan ṣọkan.

32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

33 Agbara nla li awọn aposteli si fi njẹri ajinde Jesu Oluwa; ore-ọfẹ pipọ si wà lori gbogbo wọn.

33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

34 Nitori kò si ẹnikan ninu wọn ti o ṣe alaini: nitori iye awọn ti o ni ilẹ tabi ile tà wọn, nwọn si mu owo ohun ti nwọn tà wá.

34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,

35 Nwọn si fi i lelẹ li ẹsẹ awọn aposteli: nwọn si npín fun olukuluku, gẹgẹ bi o ti ṣe alaini si.

35 And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

36 Ati Josefu, ti a ti ọwọ awọn aposteli sọ apele rẹ̀ ni Barnaba (itumọ̀ eyi ti ijẹ Ọmọ-Itùnu), ẹ̀ya Lefi, ati ara Kipru.

36 And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,

37 O ni ilẹ kan, o tà a, o mu owo rẹ̀ wá, o si fi i lelẹ li ẹsẹ awọn aposteli.

37 Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles' feet.
