1 AWỌN woli ati awọn olukọni si mbẹ ninu ijọ ti o wà ni Antioku; Barnaba, ati Simeoni ti a npè ni Nigeri, ati Lukiu ara Kirene, ati Manaeni, ti a tọ́ pọ̀ pẹlu Herodu tetrarki, ati Saulu.
1 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
2 Bi nwọn si ti njọsìn fun Oluwa, ti nwọn si ngbàwẹ, Ẹmí Mimọ́ wipe, Ẹ yà Barnaba on Saulu sọtọ̀ fun mi fun iṣẹ ti mo ti pè wọn si.
2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
4 Njẹ bi a ti rán wọn lati ọwọ́ Ẹmí Mimọ́ lọ, nwọn sọkalẹ lọ si Seleukia; lati ibẹ̀ nwọn si wọkọ̀ lọ si Kipru.
4 So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.
5 And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister.
6 Nigbati nwọn si là gbogbo erekùṣu já de Pafo, nwọn ri ọkunrin kan, oṣó, woli eke, Ju, orukọ ẹniti ijẹ Barjesu,
6 And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Bar-jesus:
7 Ẹniti o wà lọdọ Sergiu Paulu bãlẹ ilu na, amoye enia. On na li o ranṣẹ pè Barnaba on Saulu, o si fẹ gbọ́ ọ̀rọ Ọlọrun.
7 Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.
8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.
9 Ṣugbọn Saulu (ti a si npè ni Paulu), o kún fun Ẹmí Mimọ́, o si tẹjumọ́ ọ, o si wipe,
9 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him,
10 Iwọ ti o kún fun arekereke gbogbo, ati fun iwà-ìka gbogbo, iwọ ọmọ Eṣu, iwọ ọta ododo gbogbo, iwọ kì yio ha dẹkun ati ma yi ọna titọ́ Oluwa po?
10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?
11 Njẹ nisisiyi, wo o, ọwọ́ Oluwa mbẹ lara rẹ, iwọ o si fọju, iwọ kì yio ri õrùn ni sã kan. Lojukanna owusuwusu ati òkunkun si bò o; o si nwá enia kiri lati fà a lọwọ lọ.
11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.
12 Nigbati bãlẹ ri ohun ti o ṣe, o gbagbọ́, ẹnu si yà a si ẹkọ́ Oluwa.
12 Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.
13 Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem.
14 But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.
15 Ati lẹhin kìka iwe ofin ati iwe awọn woli, awọn olori sinagogu ranṣẹ si wọn, pe, Ará, bi ẹnyin ba li ọ̀rọ iyanju kan fun awọn enia, ẹ sọ ọ.
15 And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.
16 Then Paul stood up, and beckoning with his hand said, Men of Israel, and ye that fear God, give audience.
17 Ọlọrun awọn enia Israeli yi, yàn awọn baba wa, o si gbé awọn enia na leke, nigbati nwọn ṣe atipo ni ilẹ Egipti, apá giga li o si fi mu wọn jade kuro ninu rẹ̀.
17 The God of this people of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and with an high arm brought he them out of it.
18 Ni ìwọn igba ogoji ọdún li o fi mu sũru fun ìwa wọn ni ijù.
18 And about the time of forty years suffered he their manners in the wilderness.
19 And when he had destroyed seven nations in the land of Chanaan, he divided their land to them by lot.
20 Ati lẹhin nkan wọnyi o fi onidajọ fun wọn, titi o fi di igba Samueli woli.
20 And after that he gave unto them judges about the space of four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet.
21 Ati lẹhinna ni nwọn bère ọba: Ọlọrun si fun wọn ni Saulu ọmọ Kiṣi, ọkunrin kan ninu ẹ̀ya Benjamini, fun ogoji ọdún.
21 And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years.
22 Nigbati o si mu u kuro, o gbé Dafidi dide li ọba fun wọn; ẹniti o si jẹri rẹ̀ pe, Mo ri Dafidi ọmọ Jesse ẹni bi ọkàn mi, ti yio ṣe gbogbo ifẹ mi.
22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.
23 Lati inu iru-ọmọ ọkunrin yi ni Ọlọrun ti gbe Jesu Olugbala dide fun Israeli gẹgẹ bi ileri,
23 Of this man's seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:
24 Nigbati Johanu ti kọ́ wãsu baptismu ironupiwada fun gbogbo enia Israeli ṣaju wíwa rẹ̀.
24 When John had first preached before his coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.
25 Bi Johanu si ti nlà ipa tirẹ̀ já, o ni, Tali ẹnyin ṣebi emi iṣe? Emi kì iṣe on. Ṣugbọn ẹ kiyesi i, ẹnikan mbọ̀ lẹhin mi, bata ẹsẹ ẹniti emi kò to itú.
25 And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am not he. But, behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of his feet I am not worthy to loose.
26 Ará, ẹnyin ọmọ iran Abrahamu, ati ẹnyin ti o bẹ̀ru Ọlọrun, awa li a rán ọ̀rọ igbala yi si.
26 Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.
27 Nitori awọn ti ngbe Jerusalemu, ati awọn olori wọn, nitoriti nwọn kò mọ̀ ọ, ati ọ̀rọ awọn woli, ti a nkà li ọjọjọ isimi, kò yé wọn, nwọn mu u ṣẹ ni didajọ rẹ̀ lẹbi.
27 For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.
28 Ati bi nwọn kò tilẹ ti ri ọ̀ran iku si i, sibẹ nwọn rọ̀ Pilatu lati pa a.
28 And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain.
29 Bi nwọn si ti mu nkan gbogbo ṣẹ ti a ti kọwe nitori rẹ̀, nwọn si sọ ọ kalẹ kuro lori igi, nwọn si tẹ́ ẹ si ibojì.
29 And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre.
30 Ṣugbọn Ọlọrun jí i dide kuro ninu okú:
30 But God raised him from the dead:
31 O si farahàn li ọjọ pipọ fun awọn ti o ba a gòke lati Galili wá si Jerusalemu, awọn ti iṣe ẹlẹri rẹ̀ nisisiyi fun awọn enia.
31 And he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people.
32 Awa si mu ihinrere wá fun nyin, ti ileri tí a ti ṣe fun awọn baba,
32 And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers,
33 Bi Ọlọrun ti mu eyi na ṣẹ fun awọn ọmọ wa, nigbati o ji Jesu dide; bi a si ti kọwe rẹ̀ ninu Psalmu keji pe, Iwọ li Ọmọ mi, loni ni mo bí ọ.
33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.
34 Ati niti pe o ji i dide kuro ninu oku, ẹniti kì yio tun pada si ibajẹ mọ́, o wi bayi pe, Emi ó fun nyin ni ore mimọ́ Dafidi, ti o daju.
34 And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.
35 Nitori o si wi ninu Psalmu miran pẹlu pe, Iwọ kì yio jẹ ki Ẹni Mimọ́ rẹ ri idibajẹ.
35 Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
36 Nitori lẹhin igba ti Dafidi sin iran rẹ̀ tan bi ifẹ Ọlọrun, o sùn, a si tẹ́ ẹ tì awọn baba rẹ̀, o si ri idibajẹ.
36 For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:
37 Ṣugbọn ẹniti Ọlọrun ji dide kò ri idibajẹ.
37 But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.
38 Njẹ ki o yé nyin, ará, pe nipasẹ ọkunrin yi li a nwasu idariji ẹ̀ṣẹ fun nyin:
38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
39 Ati nipa rẹ̀ li a ndá olukuluku ẹniti o gbagbọ lare kuro ninu ohun gbogbo, ti a kò le da nyin lare ninu ofin Mose.
39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
40 Nitorina ẹ kiyesara, ki eyi ti a ti sọ ninu iwe awọn woli ki o maṣe de ba nyin, pe;
40 Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets;
41 Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.
42 Bi nwọn si ti njade, nwọn bẹ̀bẹ pe ki a sọ̀rọ wọnyi fun wọn li ọjọ isimi ti mbọ̀.
42 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.
43 Nigbati nwọn si jade ni sinagogu, ọ̀pọ ninu awọn Ju ati ninu awọn olufọkansìn alawọṣe tẹle Paulu on Barnaba: awọn ẹniti o ba wọn sọ̀rọ ti nwọn si rọ̀ wọn lati duro ninu ore-ọfẹ Ọlọrun.
43 Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.
44 Li ọjọ isimi keji, gbogbo ilu si fẹrẹ pejọ tan lati gbọ́ ọ̀rọ Ọlọrun.
44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.
45 Ṣugbọn nigbati awọn Ju ri ọ̀pọ enia na, nwọn kún fun owu, nwọn nsọ̀rọ-òdi si ohun ti Paulu nsọ.
45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.
46 Paulu on Barnaba si sọ laibẹru pe, Ẹnyin li o tọ ki a kọ́ sọ ọ̀rọ Ọlọrun fun: ṣugbọn bi ẹ ti ta a nù, ẹ sì kà ara nyin si alaiyẹ fun iyè ainipẹkun, wo o, awa yipada sọdọ awọn Keferi.
46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
47 Bẹ̃li Oluwa sá ti paṣẹ fun wa pe, Mo ti gbé ọ kalẹ fun imọlẹ awọn Keferi, ki iwọ ki o le jẹ fun igbala titi de opin aiye.
47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
48 Nigbati awọn Keferi si gbọ́ eyi, nwọn yọ̀, nwọn si yìn ọ̀rọ Ọlọrun logo: gbogbo awọn ti a yàn si ìye ainipẹkun si gbagbọ́.
48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.
49 A si tàn ọ̀rọ Oluwa ka gbogbo ẹkùn na.
49 And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region.
50 Ṣugbọn awọn Ju rú awọn obinrin olufọkansin ati ọlọlá soke ati awọn àgba ilu na, nwọn si gbe inunibini dide si Paulu on Barnaba, nwọn si ṣí wọn kuro li àgbegbe wọn.
50 But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts.
51 Ṣugbọn nwọn gbọ̀n ekuru ẹsẹ wọn si wọn, nwọn si wá si Ikonioni.
51 But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium.
52 Awọn ọmọ-ẹhin si kún fun ayọ̀ ati fun Ẹmí Mimọ́.
52 And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost.
